It’s that time again — to discuss the best booths from Epcot Flower and Garden!
The 2023 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival kicked off on March 1 (we were there on opening day!) and it runs through July 5, meaning you have plenty of time to eat and drink all of the menu items offered.
This year, there are a total of 17 outdoor kitchens, with 7 additional locations serving exclusive festival offerings.
As always, we want to ensure you’re not wasting money on booths that just aren’t that great. Seeing as we ate and drank everything at this year’s Flower and Garden, we know exactly where to send you.
Keep in mind that while we may not have all felt the same about certain items (and some of us couldn’t eat everything for dietary reasons), these were truly the standouts of the festival — and something we all came to an agreement on in post-festival discussions.
Some of these options may not have even been our top-rated overall items (keep reading for more on this), but these are simply our overall top choices.
Now let’s check out our 10 favorite booths from this year’s Epcot Flower and Garden Festival!
Fleur de Lys (France pavilion)
Location: France pavilion
Nearby booths: La Isla Fresca, Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina
Nearby seating areas: Standing tables by the booth and tables you can sit at throughout the pavilion, indoor seating at Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie, indoor and outdoor seating in Morocco
Fleur de Lys is one of our favorites at this year’s Flower and Garden.
Even without a festival, France is a popular pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase thanks to the drinks, food, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
But, when there is a festival happening, France is usually the go-to place for many guests. Why? Because it’s just that good of a booth.
Don’t say we didn’t warn you about the lines. You just might want to rope drop it.
Between the cheese, the bread, and the beverages (we’re looking at you frozen alcoholic slushes), you can’t go wrong.
Believe it or not, we weren’t fans of Fleur de Lys last year. However, we are glad to say that the outdoor kitchen has turned itself around and is serving all kinds of goodness, including:

Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre: Croissant with Goat Cheese
Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre, Herbes et ail Rôtie is a croissant with goat cheese, herbs and roasted garlic.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Yumyumyum. Warm and perfectly melty.
Heather: I cursed in glee when I took my first bite. So very good. Warm, cheesy, and lots of flavor. LOVE!
Felicia: This is pretty good. The herb sauce on top has a nice flavor and the croissant is nice and flakey. There is a goat cheese sauce in the croissant that is good. Only complaint is it was a little dry.
This is a new festival item for 2023.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: What a fantastic savory option! Good portion, great flavors. Highly recommend.
Heather: This is a fancy Sunday pot roast and I AM LIVING FOR IT. So delicious. I am in love with this booth.
Felicia: Loved this. Rich flavor from the tender beef, the mashed potatoes are creamy with great flavor, and the roasted tomatoes are out of this world.
Kronenbourg Blanc 1664 Draft Beer
1664 Draft Beer is a French wheat beer produced by Kronenbourg Blanc.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Yum! What a delightfully light but slightly floral beer.
Heather: Nothing fancy…but a good beer if you just want … a beer.
Felicia: This is a good beer. Slightly sweet but refreshing. Only thing I really liked at the booth and I wouldn’t waste my time waiting in line for it. Easy to find almost anywhere.
La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy
The La Vie en Rose frozen slushy features vodka, Grey Goose L’Orange vodka, St. Germain Liqueur, white and red cranberry juice.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Like the frozen drinks that are so popular in the France pavilion year round, this is a delicious option with a cranberry twist. Love love love.
Heather: The France pavilion is known for their frozen drinks, and this one is always a hit with my tastebuds!
Felicia: This is very sweet but the flavor overall isn’t bad. Another popular drink that I don’t necessarily think is worth the money.
La Isla Fresca (between France and Morocco)
Location: Between France and Morocco
Nearby booths: Tangerine Café: Flavors of the Medina, Fleur de Lys
Nearby seating areas: There are outdoor tables by the booth, standing tables nearby, and many outdoor tables in Morocco
La Isla Fresca celebrates the Caribbean with some of the most delicious food and beverages.
We loved this kitchen last year and the same can be said for 2023. It is that good. Plus, Encanto music is played at the booth. Does it get better than that?
Overall, this is a solid festival stop, but we walked away loving the food items and the beer. These are the true standouts:

Braised Oxtail
A braised oxtail served with pigeon pea rice.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Great portion and flavors. Would make a great light meal by itself.
Heather: So, so, so good. A little salty and spicy, but delicious flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly and is a great balance to the topping.
Felicia: Huge portion and a rich flavor that is tasty. The ox tail is very tender and the rice has a nice spice to it.
Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer
Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer with BEN’S ORIGINAL Long Grain White Rice, mango salsa, and coconut-lime sauce.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Nice portion, great presentation, delicious combo of flavors. Has a little kick!
Felicia: This is so good. Perfectly cooked rice with a nice flavor. The mango salsa is refreshing and the coconut lime sauce on the shrimp is super good. Big fan.
Coconut Tres Leches
Coconut Tres Leches is a vanilla cake soaked in oat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk with toasted coconut. This dish is also part of the Garden Graze, the food crawl where you can earn a prize.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Love the light coconut flavor. Manages to be soft without being soggy.
Heather: One of my favorite sweets from this festival! Loved it. Coconut without being fake and not too sweet.
Felicia: This was so good. The coconut is light, the whipped topping is light and perfectly sweet, not too much. The cake is moist and delicious but not soggy. So good and perfect on a hot day if you need (or want) a dessert.
Islamorada Beer Company Coconut Key Lime Ale
This Coconut Key Lime Ale is brewed by the Islamorada Beer Company in Islamorada, Florida.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Love love love the coconut lime combo. Refreshing. Delicious.
Heather: I absolutely love this beer. So refreshing without being too sweet.
Felicia: So good and refreshing. The coconut flavor is definitely there but not super sweet or over powering. Nice light lime taste. Easy to drink, not too heavy. Would love a full size of it.
Allyson: Really enjoyed this. The key lime really came through.
Tangierine Café (Morocco pavilion)
Location: Morocco pavilion
Nearby booths: Hanami, La Isla Fresca
Nearby seating areas: There is indoor seating inside Tangierine Café, including plenty of outdoor seating.
Did you really enjoy an Epcot festival if you didn’t go to Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina? Why is this booth so good?
Maybe it’s because there is a full kitchen here, but whatever the chefs are doing, they better keep it up.
This continues to be one of our favorites, and for good reason. Everything is delicious, but the stars for us are:

Hummus Trio
A hummus trio with traditional hummus, red beet and black garlic hummus, and an avocado-herb hummus served with Moroccan bread and crispy papadam. This is a new item for 2023. This dish is also part of the Garden Graze, the food crawl where you can earn a prize.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Great portion and options of pita and crisps. Liked the flavors.
Heather: Absolutely delicious. What a great combo of flavors and a huge portion. Fantastic for sharing.
Felicia: Great portion size, cool and refreshing and every hummus is unique and super flavorful. Love love love this.
Allyson: Absolutely gorgeous and tastes wonderful. Such a great snack and perfect for sharing. Can’t wait to get this again.
Orange Blossom-Saffron Cake
An orange blossom cake with saffron.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Interesting flavors and pretty presentation but ultimately too sweet in an artificial sweetener kinda way.
Heather: I love this for the crisp coolness and the delicate flavor. Big portion and perfect texture. Fantastic treat on a hot day.
Felicia: This is very interesting. The orange part of the cake is what seems like a hard white chocolate shell filled with a creamy cheesecake-consistency filling. The green layer is actual cake. The flavor is great but only giving a 4 because the texture was odd. It is served chilled.
Chermoula Chicken Grilled Kebab
Chermoula chicken grilled kebab with carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aïoli.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Incredibly tender chicken. Delicious flavors. Loved.
Heather: Yes it is “just” chicken but man is it good! Amazing flame kissed flavors of yumminess!
Felicia: Delicious chicken. It’s tender and delicious. The chickpea and carrot salad is both sweet and spiced and complements the chicken well. Nice portion.
Lamb Kefta Grilled Kebab
Lamb kefta grilled kebab with carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aïoli.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Good flavors. Slightly spicy. Strange texture to the lamb.
Heather: They knock it out of the park here. Don’t sleep on these kebabs!
Felicia: This is also very good. Perfectly seasoned, rich flavor, and it’s tender. Chickpea and carrot salad adds a little sweetness and complements the kebab well.
3 Daughters Pomegranate Hard Cider
A pomegranate hard cider made by 3 Daughters in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Would definitely get this again. Love the light pomegranate flavors.
Heather: My favorite cider of the festival. Wow.
Felicia: Not as sweet or apple-y as other ciders. This is good and a pretty color.
Bold Rock Tangerine Hard Cider
A vegan hard cider with citrus notes made by Bold Rock in Mills River, North Carolina. This is new for 2023.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Little sweet. Not bad.
Heather: I like this cider slightly less – but it is still delicious. What I like about the ciders here is that they don’t give big cider energy. They are just good!
Felicia: Kind of a very faint orange soda flavor. Don’t like but hated less than the other ciders.
Allyson: A fantastic light cider with the right amount of crispness.
Keel Farms Strawberry Elderflower Hard Cider
A strawberry and elderflower hard cider made by Keel Farms in Tampa Bay, Florida. This is new for 2023.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Slightly sweet. Refreshing.
Heather: I am not a huge cider fan, but this one is delicious. Heavy strawberry flavor…which is great.
Felicia: Very sweet but the apple/cider flavor isn’t strong so at least there is that.
Allyson: Yummm. Such a great cider. Give me more.
Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market (Germany pavilion)
Location: Germany pavilion
Nearby booths: Refreshment Outpost, Primavera Kitchen
Nearby seating areas: Plenty of outdoor seating throughout the Germany pavilion
Prost! Germany’s Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market is an all-around solid booth.
One of the many reasons we recommend it is because you’re served nice portion sizes for a reasonable price.
Plus, the savory and sweet options are filling. The beer is just good beer. And, you can basically create a whole meal here.
All that said, we must tell you to not order the Apfelschaumwein (sparkling wine and apple liqueur). Just like last year, it’s bad again. Your taste buds don’t deserve to be punished with this beverage.
However, do order the following:
Keep reading for photos, along with our ratings and reviews.
Potato Pancakes with Applesauce
These potato pancakes are served with house-made apple sauce. This dish is also part of the Garden Graze, the food crawl where you can earn a prize.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Mushy apple sauce topping + soft potato pancakes. It’s fine but I wish it had more flavor.
Heather: I don’t know why these are so limp?!!! It is more than just getting soggy because of the applesauce-it is like they are sitting in juice!
Felicia: The applesauce tastes homemade and is delicious. The potato pancake is potato-y and fine. I don’t personally care for this flavor combination, but it’s well executed.
Potato Pancake with Caramelized Ham
Similar to the plant-based version, but instead this potato pancake is served with caramelized ham, onions, and herb sour cream.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Much prefer this savory potato pancake. Better texture and flavors.
Heather: Very tasty I’m just a little thrown off by the uniform size of the ham. That’s weird.
Felicia: This is okay. Potato pancake is a lot like hash browns. The topping doesn’t add much and the sour cream is cold which doesn’t go well with the hot food. Just fine.
Toasted Pretzel Bread
This isn’t just any toasted pretzel bread, but it’s topped with Black Forest ham and melted gruyère cheese.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Little salty and tricky to eat, but loved the combo of ham and melted cheese flavors.
Heather: Skip the potato pancakes and get this instead! Delicious.
Felicia: Absolutely delicious. The pretzel is soft. The ham is crispy and full of flavor and there is plenty of salty delicious cheese. Pretty filling, too.
Warm Cheese Strudel
A warm cheese strudel with mixed berries. This is the only sweet option on the menu.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Flaky pastry, decent portion, berries lacked any sweetness
Heather: I do like this more than I did last year. Am I maturing? But – it is too chewy and the berry seeds feel funny in my teeth make it stop.
Felicia: The mixed berries were fresh tasting and paired with the pastry well. I didn’t care for the cream and the pastry was soggy. I don’t ever like this sort of food item though so maybe why I didn’t care for it as much as others.
Flensburger Dunkel
This beer is a Munich-style Dunkel that is brewed by Flensburger Brauerei in Germany. This is a new 2023 Festival beer.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Light, enjoy this option
Heather: Nice beer flavor. Nothing special, but a good option if you just want a good beer.
Felicia: Great dunkel that is full of flavor. Overall a fun and good flight.
Allyson: A good dunkel with a good flavor.
Bitburger Premium Pils
The Premium Pils is a pilsner brewed by Bitburger in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Light but fairly flavorless.
Heather: This is what I’m talking about! A beer that tastes like a beer.
Felicia: Solid Pilsner. Bold flavor but easy to drink. Favorite beer from this booth.
Stiegl Brewery Radler Raspberry
The Radler Raspberry is a fruity beer brewed by Stiegl Brewery in Salzburg, Austria.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Just the right balance of light and sweet.
Heather: Maybe it is too sweet but at this moment in my life, I really like it. Will I like it tomorrow? Maybe. But right NOW? Definitely yes.
Felicia: Too sweet for me, but it’s a nice light and bubbly raspberry flavored beer. Good for fans of fruity beer.
Florida Fresh (near Disney Traders)
Location: Near Disney Traders
Nearby booths: The Citrus Blossom, Jardin de Fiestas
Nearby seating areas: Standing tables nearby, Odyssey Pavilion (located inside with plenty of tables and A/C)
Florida Fresh is a new booth this year that sells some of the freshest and lightest offerings at the entire festival.
If you like watermelon, you’ll love Florida Fresh. Even if you don’t like watermelon (like some of us at WDW Prep School), you might actually walk away very surprised.
Oh, yeah, cucumber is involved as well. But, trust us! These flavors work so well together.
You definitely want to order:
Keep reading for photos, along with our ratings and reviews.
Watermelon Salad
A crisp watermelon salad made with blueberries, pickled red onions, balsamic, and feta. This item is new for the 2023 Festival.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Like this combo of fresh flavors. This is the kinda thing I hope to find at F&G Festival.
Heather: I’m not a huge watermelon fan (don’t @ me) but this salad is very good! Wished it was cold, though.
Felicia: Loved this. Refreshing watermelon, delicious blueberries, the acid from the balsamic goes well with the fruit and the saltiness of the feta. Yum.
Allyson: Love love love this. So light and refreshing, with fantastic flavor. Great portion too.
Cucumber Watermelon Slushy with Gin
A slushy with hints of cucumber and watermelon. This slushy may also be purchased without alcohol.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Fresh, light flavor. Small portion.
Heather: Both options (with and without alcohol) are very, very tasty. Refreshing – light watermelon flavor.
Felicia: Wow, loved both versions of this. Super fresh and strong watermelon flavor with just a slight hint of cucumber. The gin is a perfect complement. So refreshing.
Cucumber Watermelon Slushy
A slushy with hints of cucumber and watermelon. This slushy may also be purchased with gin.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: This non-alcoholic version of the drink is much sweeter than the one with gin. Don’t like it much.
Heather: Both options (with and without alcohol) are very, very tasty. Refreshing – light watermelon flavor.
Felicia: Wow, loved both versions of this. Super fresh and strong watermelon flavor with just a slight hint of cucumber. So refreshing.
Citrus Blossom (inside the Odyssey)
Location: Inside the Odyssey (new location for 2023!)
Nearby booths: Jardin de Fiestas, Florida Fresh, BRUNCHCOT, Epcot Farmers Feast
Nearby seating areas: Odyssey Pavilion (located inside here with plenty of tables and A/C)
Instead of having a booth near Port of Entry this year, you can find Citrus Blossom inside the Odyssey Pavilion.
This is a hot spot thanks to the air conditioning, tables and chairs, Orange Bird merchandise sold, and, yes, the food and drinks.
You can also purchase an adorable Orange Bird souvenir sipper, which is served with a non-alcoholic Orange-Lemon Smoothie.
There were several items we truly enjoyed it, like:
Keep reading for photos, along with our ratings and reviews.
Orange Sesame Tempura Shrimp
Sesame Tempura Shrimp served with an orange chile sauce.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Fantastic portion, light breading, orange chile sauce is a great flavor component to the shrimp.
Felicia: The tempura battering is cooked well and is super crunchy and fresh. My only complaint is there isn’t enough of the orange sauce.
Lemon Meringue Pie
A lemon meringue pie made with lemon curd, lemon mousse, and toasted meringue.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Delish! Great portion and presentation, light lemon flavors.
Heather: Really, really sweet. Not bad. Just SUPER sweet. Kind of a fake lemon flavor, too,
Felicia: Light and flavorful meringue with a solid crust that is a nice textural contrast to the meringue. Loved it.
UFO Beer Co. Citrus Hazy Wheat Beer
A hazy wheat beer with notes of citrus brewed by UFO Beer Co. in Boston, MA. This item is new for the 2023 Festival.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Yummm. So light with just the right hint of citrus. Would get it as a full size option and not just in the flight.
Heather: Really good wheat beer with a hint of citrus.
Felicia: Very light wheat that is refreshing. Light orange flavors. Great beer for the heat.
Allyson: A good hazy wheat beer that has wonderful orange flavors. Great for a hot day.
BRUNCHCOT (near Test Track)
Location: Near Test Track
Nearby booths: Epcot Farmers Feast, Connections Café and Eatery, The Citrus Blossom
Nearby seating areas: Standing tables nearby, within walking distance the Odyssey Pavilion (located inside with plenty of tables and A/C)
If you’re craving brunch or breakfast all day, you’ll want to head to BRUNCHCOT.
This is a new-ish outdoor kitchen for the 2023 Flower and Garden Festival. While the booth has a new name, it’s set up in the same location as 2022’s Epcot Sunshine Griddle.
This is a popular kitchen that can have lengthy lines, so know you may have to wait a bit to get your food and drinks.
You can order many of the same items that were available at Epcot Sunshine Griddle. And similar to last year, we still enjoy several of the offerings, especially:
Keep reading for photos, along with our ratings and reviews.
Shrimp and Grits
Shrimp and grits served with blackened shrimp and cheddar cheese grits with brown gravy and sweet corn salsa.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Excellent savory flavors with a slight kick. Fantastic portion size.
Felicia: Cheese grits are so good. The shrimp is plump and cooked well and all of the flavors go together well. Little bit of spice to it, in a good way. Solid item.
Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites
Fried cinnamon roll bites served with cream cheese frosting and candied bacon. Tip: You can ask for these without the candied bacon.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Crispy outside, soft inside. Warm, delicious. Bit messy though.
Heather: Is it messy? Yes. Is it tasty? Perhaps. Am I tipsy? A little. This tastes best FRESH. Otherwise, it gets extra greasy.
Felicia: Didn’t care for this. The cinnamon roll bites are filled with cream which is gross and weird and hard to eat. The bacon was a nice addition but overall not good. Weren’t served hot either.
Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew Cocktail
A Joffrey’s coffee cold brew cocktail made with milk, Kahlúa Rum and Coffee Liqueur, and vanilla vodka.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Good portion, but liqueur taste a bit overpowering.
Heather: Tastes like a coffee flavored martini! Yum!
Felicia: Delicious. Big coffee flavor, lots of alcohol flavor but not overpowering, and the perfect amount of sweetness.
Epcot Farmers Feast (near Creations Shop and Test Track)
Location: Near Test Track
Nearby booths: BRUNCHCOT, The Citrus Blossom
Nearby seating areas: Standing tables and outdoor seating area by Creations Shop, Odyssey Pavilion (located inside with plenty of tables and A/C)
Once again, we can’t help but rave about Epcot Farmers Feast.
What makes this booth so special is it has a rotating menu. We tried the Early Bloom Menu, which runs from March 1 through April 8.
Here are the dates for the 2023 rotating menu:
- Early Bloom Menu (Available March 1 through April 8)
- Springtime Menu (Available April 9 through May 20)
- Summer Solstice Menu (Available May 20 through July 5)
It’s important to note that all the beverages, except for the Hibiscus Lemonade, remain the same throughout the entirety of Flower and Garden.
This outdoor kitchen is all about the hearty dishes and savory sides featuring farm-fresh ingredients. We definitely think you should try these:
Keep reading for photos, along with our ratings and reviews.
Hibiscus Lemonade Cocktail
A hibiscus lemonade cocktail featuring Islamorada Brewery & Distillery Hibiscus Gin.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Beautiful presentation, good size portion, but gin flavor pretty strong. Be sure to stir it first!
Heather: Again – extremely refreshing. If you have to pick one drink here, choose this one.
Felicia: Beautiful presentation. Decent portion size. The hibiscus flavor is present but not overpowering. Delicious light cocktail.
Char-Grilled Bison Ribeye
Char-grilled bison ribeye with creamy leek fondue, red wine butter sauce, and whipped red wine goat cheese
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Gave this a 5 last year, but way too salty this time. Good portion. Fantastic combo of flavors (other than the salt).
Heather: Very good. The ribeye was extremely tender and the flavors were very … homey? Made me feel like I was eating Sunday dinner at my grandmas.
Felicia: This is incredible. The bison has a great sear that is seasoned perfectly (kind of a Montreal seasoning flavor). The creamy fondue is delicious and the cauliflower complements the bison and creamy leek well. It’s a good mix of flavors and textures. Absolutely loved it. Huge portion, too.
Chilled Potato and Leek Soup “Vichyssoise”
A chilled potato and leek soup “Vichyssoise” with bacon lardons, potato croutons, chive oil and crispy leeks.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Good portion, enjoyed the light flavors, but pretty salty.
Heather: Love this. Delicious. Creamy, a bit salty. For when you want the comfort of a cozy soup without eating hot soup.
Felicia: This soup is cold which is a little strange. But, it’s delicious. Great flavor and it is somehow creamy in a light and refreshing way. Would recommend if you can get past it being intentionally cold.
The Honey Bee-stro (near Port of Entry)
Location: Near Port of Entry
Nearby booths: Refreshment Port, Pineapple Promenade, Trowel & Trellis
Nearby seating areas: Standing tables nearby
Similar to last year, we once again walked away loving The Honey Bee-stro. You can find food and beverages that are both inspired by honey and infused with it.
Just give us all the food offerings. Admittedly, the only drink worth purchasing is the non-alcoholic option. It’s like a milkshake, which is also great for kids.
The Honey Wine? Trust us when we say to stay away. No one should have to drink medicine at a theme park.
But, don’t worry, the dishes taste as beautiful as they look, especially:
Keep reading for photos, along with our ratings and reviews.
Chicken and Waffles
Crispy honey-brined chicken and honey sweet cornbread waffle with whipped honey butter and spicy honey.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Sooo good. Surprising flavors in the waffle. Has a little kick to it.
Heather: It is sweet, a little spicy, and really, really good.
Felicia: What a fun twist on chicken and waffles. The corn bread waffle is tasty and soft. The chicken is crispy and spicy in a good way. And the honey butter is the perfect amount of sweet.
Pollinator Flatbread
Pollinator Flatbread with honey-whipped mascarpone, honey caramelized onions, blueberry gastrique, prosciutto, honey-whipped goat cheese, arugula, honey vinaigrette, and bee pollen. This is a new festival item for 2023.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Gorgeous presentation with so many ingredients. Good portion. Great flavors.
Heather: Too many flavors. They tried to make fetch happened – and it didn’t.
Felicia: Fantastic mix of flavors. Great combination of sweet and savory. Flatbread base is cooked perfectly and a great base for the toppings. Huge portion.
Local Wildflower Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake
Honey-mascarpone cheesecake with honey whipped cream, whipped honey, crystalized honey, honeycomb, dehydrated honey, and fennel pollen meringue kisses.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Honey in various forms and textures. Enjoyed this light dessert.
Heather: Delicious. Loved it. Light and fresh.
Felicia: Delicious. The cheesecake is a solid cheesecake and all of the various honey components are good and add to it. Slight orange flavor.
Allyson: Liked this so much more this year than last year. A solid cheesecake.
Honey-Peach Freeze
A frozen smoothie with honey and peach.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: The peach flavor is delicious and especially refreshing on a hot day.
Heather: Very peachy. Would be good as a dessert – but it is over the top sweet.
Felicia: This is very creamy and thick but the streusel is good and the flavor isn’t too sweet or strong, not for me but kids may like.
Trowel & Trellis (near Port of Entry)
Location: Near Port of Entry
Nearby booths: The Honey Bee-stro, Refreshment Port, Northern Bloom
Nearby seating areas: Several surrounding standing tables
Calling all vegans and vegetarians, Trowel & Trellis is back and better than ever!
This booth is consistently fantastic. Like last year, you can’t go wrong with anything you order. Seriously, everything is good.
Everything is plant-based, fresh, delicious, and filling. You make a whole meal at this booth.
Even those who aren’t vegans or vegetarians should try both the food and drink choices. These are just a few of our favorites:

Boneless Impossible Korean Short Rib
Boneless Impossible Korean short rib with cilantro-lime rice, danmuji slaw, and kimchee mayonnaise. This dish is also part of the Garden Graze, the food crawl where you can earn a prize.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Great mix of ingredients, colorful presentation, really fantastic flavors, Kimchee mayo a particular standout
Heather: Stuff like this would make it very easy to be vegetarian. Very tasty.
Felicia: Very good flavor and decent sized portion. Tasted like a Korean short rib, but the texture is more like meatloaf (which makes sense based on it being Impossible meat). Solid option.
Allyson: A decent size portion and makes a good meal. This continues to be one of my favorite dishes at the festival.
Impossible Lumpia
Impossible lumpia with a Thai sweet chili sauce. This is a new festival item for 2023. This dish is also part of the Garden Graze, the food crawl where you can earn a prize.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Not my favorite of the Impossible options I’ve had at the festivals, but not too bad. Slight kick. Decent portion.
Heather: Such a great flavor and huge portion. Little spicy but not too bad. Eat it when it is FRESH because the wrapper can get a little chewy.
Felicia: Love this a lot. The impossible filling is tasty and not obviously plant based. Love sweet chili sauce. Very crispy and good.
Allyson: Love this new option this year. Did want them to be a bit crispier, but still very good and not too much heat.
Chocolate Cake
Chocolate Cake with black currant ganache, mixed berry compote, and chocolate ice cream. This dish is also part of the Garden Graze, the food crawl where you can earn a prize.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Pretty presentation, love the raspberry flavors in multiple forms.
Heather: I really like how light this cake is. And, it’s a decent size.
Felicia: This was tasty. The cake was moist and the raspberry flavor wasn’t overwhelming. The gelato melts quickly, though.
Allyson: This has good flavor but not too rich or chocolatey, which I prefer. It’s a nice and light dessert.
Parish Brewing Co. Bloom Hazy IPA
Parish Brewing Co. produces this Bloom Hazy IPA in Broussard, Louisiana.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Portion too small for price, fairly plain and basic flavor.
Heather: Delicious and light and fresh. Fantastic complement to the spicy flavors in this booth.
Felicia: Strong hoppy flavor and nothing really noteworthy otherwise. It’s a fine IPA, but nothing special.
Allyson: As a hazy IPA fan, LOVE this! I would go back and get the bigger size!
If you’ve been to this year’s Flower and Garden, in the comments below let us know your favorite booths! If you’re planning to visit during the festival, we’d love to hear what you’re looking forward to trying the most.
