While your instinct may be to run away from a bee, you’ll want to do the opposite during the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.
Like many of the festivals at Epcot, there are plenty of other activities for guests to experience, including Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt.
In addition to Orange Bird, you’ll see a lot of Spike the Bee at Flower and Garden. You can even hunt for him (in a friendly way, of course), if you choose to purchase his scavenger hunt.
Here we go over everything you need to know about the 2023 scavenger hunt starring Spike the Bee, including pricing, prizes, and more!
What is Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration?
Similar to Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt, Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration is great for all festival guests. Yes, this even means adults.

As you walk around the World Showcase, you’ll look for Spike the Bee, who is normally hiding in gardens and foliage. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled.
All you have to do is purchase a map that comes with stickers.
Each time you find Spike the Bee, you’ll place the corresponding sticker on the map of where you found him. It is completely self-guided.

Once you’ve found each Spike and your map is finished, you’ll bring it to a select location to receive a prize!
Where can I buy the Spike the Bee scavenger hunt?
You can usually find festival scavenger hunts at the following select Epcot locations:
- Port of Entry (in World Showcase plaza; towards Canada)
- Disney Traders (in World Showcase plaza; towards Mexico)
- Creations Shop (in World Celebration)
- World Traveler (at International Gateway)
- Gateway Gifts (in World Celebration)

When it’s time to redeem your prize, take your map to the following Epcot stores:

- World Traveler (at International Gateway)

How much does Spike’s Pollen-Nation cost?

What are the prizes for the 2023 Spike’s Pollen-Nation?
This year’s prizes for Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration are cute cups and plates featuring Figment Orange Bird, Snow White, and Spike the Bee.

You can choose one of the cups or one of the plates as your prize.

How many hidden Spike the Bee’s are there?
There are 12 hidden Spike the Bee’s for you to hunt in Epcot.
Egg-stravaganaza Scavenger Hunt
Like Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit during the 2022 Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, Flower and Garden has the Egg-stravangaza Scavenger Hunt.

This is an Easter-themed activity that’s available for a limited-time during the festival.
The scavenger hunt allows guests to hunt for Disney characters on oversized eggs around World Showcase starting March 13 for a limited time.

You’re typically able to purchase a game board and stickers at select merchandise locations, including Creations Shop, Port of Entry, and World Traveler.
The map and stickers cost $9.99 (plus tax).
Once you’re finished, bring your completed map to locations like Disney Traders or World Traveler, where you’ll receive a special prize.

In 2022, the Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt prices were cute tumblers with Orange Bird, Spike the Bee, and Figment. We’ll let you know what the 2023 prizes are once they are released.
Important: You don’t need to complete the Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt in one visit or finish it all to receive the prize.
Know that alongside Egg-stravaganza you can still purchase Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration, which is available through the final day of Flower and Garden (or while supplies last).
