Believe it or not, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival isn’t just about food and wine.
Like many of the festivals at Epcot, there are plenty of other activities for guests to experience. And one of the most popular is Remy’s Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt during Food and Wine.
We are huge fans of the scavenger hunts at Epcot, and Remy’s Hide and Squeak *might* just be our favorite of all.
We don’t want to spoil the fun for you, so if you’re looking for info and details on how it works without all the hiding spaces revealed, we can help with that.
What is Remy’s Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt?
This Ratatouille-inspired scavenger hunt takes place around the World Showcase. It’s perfect for families, little ones, and, yes, also adults!
To participate, all you have to do is purchase a map and then head out into the World Showcase with your eyes peeled for little statues of Remy holding the ingredients for his favorite dish: ratatouille!
Each time you find Remy in a country, you’ll place the corresponding sticker on the map of the country where you found him. It is completely self-guided.
Once you’ve found each Remy and your map is completed, you’ll bring it to a select location to receive a prize!
Tip no. 1: You don’t need to complete your map in one visit. You can do it at your own leisure.
Tip no. 2: You also don’t actually have to finish the scavenger hunt, but simply show the map you purchased in return for the special prize.
Tip no. 3: All of the statues are outdoors for this scavenger hunt. That isn’t the case for scavenger hunts during other times of the year, and we think having them all outdoors makes this one a little bit easier.
How many Remy statues are there?
There are 15 Remy statues hidden in the World Showcase. Sometimes he is hidden on a festival booth, but he can also be hidden anywhere outdoors in a pavilion, including up high AND down low!
We don’t want to spoil it by giving you all the exact locations, but here’s a list of general areas where you’ll find him and what ingredient he’ll be holding at each spot:
- Mexico (squash)
- China (pepper grinder)
- India (cloves of garlic)
- The Outpost (balsamic vinegar)
- Germany (olive oil)
- Italy (tomato)
- American Adventure (bell peppers)
- Japan (zucchini)
- Tangierine Cafe (salt and pepper shaker)
- Brazil (onions)
- France (eggplant)
- Canada (bread)
- Refreshment Port (carrots)
- Australia (herbs)
- Coastal Eats (baking dish/pan)

We picked the Encanto themed bag. It is too cute!
Prizes change every year, and it’s always fun to see what you can win after purchasing the scavenger hunt.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
Returning in 2023 during Food and Wine is Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit.
The Halloween-themed scavenger hunt started September 29 and runs through October 31 (or while supplies last).
This year, the scavenger hunt costs $9.99 (plus tax).
