Remy, oh Remy, come out wherever you are!
Believe it or not, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival isn’t just about food and wine.
Like many of the festivals at Epcot, there are plenty of other activities for guests to experience. And one of the most popular is Remy’s Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt during Food and Wine.
Seeing how much Remy from Ratatouille loves to cook, it’s only appropriate that he’s the mascot of this particular festival.
So much so, he even has a scavenger hunt named after him!
Here we go over everything you need to know about the 2022 Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt, including pricing, prizes, and more!
What is Remy’s Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt?
This Ratatouille-inspired scavenger hunt takes place around the World Showcase. It’s perfect for families, little ones, and, yes, also adults!
All you have to do is purchase a map that comes with stickers.
Each time you find Remy in a country, you’ll place the corresponding sticker on the map of the country where you found him. It is completely self-guided.
Once you’ve found each Remy and your map is completed, you’ll bring it to a select location to receive a prize!
Tip no. 1: You don’t need to complete your map in one visit. You can do it at your own leisure.
Tip no. 2: You also don’t actually have to finish the scavenger hunt, but simply show the map you purchased in return for the special prize.
Where can I buy the Remy scavenger hunt?
You can buy the Remy scavenger hunt at the following select Epcot locations:
- Port of Entry (in World Showcase plaza; towards Canada)
- Pin Traders – Camera Center (by Spaceship Earth)
- World Traveler (at International Gateway)
When it’s time to redeem your prize, take your map to the following Epcot stores:
- Disney Traders (in World Showcase plaza; towards Mexico)
- Gateway Gifts (by Spaceship Earth)
- World Traveler (at International Gateway)
How much does Remy’s Hide & Squeak cost in 2022?
Remy’s Hide & Squeak costs $9.99, plus tax.
What is the prize for Remy’s Hide & Squeak 2022?
The 2022 prizes for Remy’s Hide & Squeak are adorable cups — Mickey grilling, Chef Remy, Tiana, and Chef Figment.
We picked the Tiana cup — how could we not?! FYI: There is even a Tiana-themed collection available at the 2022 Food and Wine Festival.
How many hidden Remy’s are there in Epcot?
There are 15 hidden Remy’s for you to hunt in Epcot.
Briefly in early October, during part of the 2022 festival, the Remy figures were replaced with Remy-themed plates.
Instead of looking for miniature Remy’s (as showcased throughout this post), guests had hunt for these plates.
While never confirmed by Disney, it was possible they made this temporary change due to Hurricane Ian.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
For the Halloween season, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit scavenger hunt was announced as a new addition for the 2022 Food and Wine Festival.
This brand new scavenger hunt was initially slated to kick off on September 29, but was delayed due to Hurricane Ian. It officially debuted on Friday, October 7 and is available for purchase for $9.99 (plus tax) through October 31 (or while supplies last).
You’re able to purchase a game board and stickers at select merchandise locations, including Creations Shop, Port of Entry, and World Traveler.
All you have to do is hunt for pumpkins decorated like Disney characters and place the corresponding sticker on your game board once found.
Important: You don’t need to complete Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit in one visit or finish it all. After you’ve purchased the game board, return it to Disney Traders or World Traveler for a “spooky surprise.”
These cute little pumpkins with the faces of Minnie, Pluto, and Mickey are the available prizes. You get to pick one.
You can redeem your game board through October 31.
Know that you can still purchase Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak, which is available through the final day of Food and Wine on November 19 (or while supplies last).
