Where to eat before Magic Kingdom parties

Where to eat before Magic Kingdom parties

Headed to a party or event at Magic Kingdom and don’t want to spend precious party time eating your late lunch or early dinner?

Definitely a smart thing to consider. Here’s how we usually do it.

Best places to eat

Before a party, we want to be a quick walk away from Magic Kingdom if possible.

That means eating at the Grand Floridian or Contemporary resorts – both of which have walkways to Magic Kingdom.

contemporary monorail

Each of those resorts has Quick Service restaurants where you could eat if you want.

However, we usually end up booking a reservation at a Table Service restaurant before parties.

The easiest of the Table Service options is Grand Floridian Cafe which has delicious food that doesn’t cost too much and usually lots of availability so it’s an easy ADR to get.

Another option is Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary which is a little more expensive and hard to get than Grand Flo Cafe, but we’ve often made a meal out of just getting appetizers and desserts.

How to get there?

If you use Disney transportation, you’ll likely need to go to Magic Kingdom and then walk/monorail over to your reservation.

However, we usually book a Table Service restaurant which makes it easier to get to those resorts via rideshare since the guard sometimes asks if you have a reservation in order to enter the resort.
