Pineapple Promenade Menu & Review (2024 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival)

Pineapple Promenade Menu & Review (2024 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival)

The Pineapple Promenade booth is a fan-favorite and for one reason — the non-alcoholic Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade!

This menu can be overwhelming, thanks to the 2 food offerings and 8 beverage options. While the DOLE Whip items aren’t really that unique, the Spicy Hot Dog and the Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade are pretty good.

We really liked both of these last year, too. As for the Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade, it’s been been popular for many years. It’s definitely tasty on a hot day.

We also really enjoyed the pineapple beer flight and found it to be a great option for those wanting to try different types of beers.

When it comes to our reviews and ratings, we thought it would be helpful if you had a better understanding of our personal preferences (what we like and don’t like), along with if there are any dietary restrictions.

Here’s a breakdown of not only who is doing the reviews, but a little more information about what each of us likes and doesn’t like food and drink-wise.

Shannon (Founder)

  • Likes: Almost everything
  • Dislikes: Beers that taste “stinky,” anything too salty
  • Dietary Restrictions: None

Heather (Editor)

  • Likes: Strong flavors, anything made out of potatoes, white wines, all beers (especially stouts and wheat beers), doesn’t mind sweet (plain fruit is NOT a dessert. Ever.)
  • Dislikes: Things that are too spicy, anything with a bone still in it, cocktails with too much whiskey or tequila (thanks to having too much fun in college), some red wines, most IPAs
  • Dietary Restrictions: Shellfish allergy

Felicia (Content Manager)

  • Likes: Mezcal, savory drinks, stouts/lagers/wheats/sour beers, vinegar, tart/sour items, chocolate, fresh vegetables and fruits, red meat
  • Dislikes: Ciders, sweet drinks, anything milky or creamy, chili powder, cumin, weirded out by textures, mayonnaise, saucy/wet food, cream-filled pastries, artificial fruit flavors, cooked fruits, frozen items (drinks or ice cream)
  • Dietary Restrictions: None

Photos & Reviews

Spicy Hot Dog

Spicy hot dog with pineapple chutney and plantain chips.

Spicy Hot Dog 2024
  • Price: $8.00
  • Special Diets: N/A
  • Rating: 4.0/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Love the flavors and crunch. Slightly spicy.
Heather: I do like a spicy wiener. It is TOO spicy this year, though. And, I did not like the crumbled chips on top. Eww, David. BUT – lots of other people seem to really love it!
Felicia: Flavors were great and liked for a hotdog. Spicier than I remember but in a good way. Lots of interesting flavors and the plantain chips make the texture a lot better.

DOLE Whip

A classic pineapple DOLE whip.

Dole Whip 2024
  • Price: $6.50
  • Special Diets: Plant-Based
  • Rating: 3.7/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Delicious if you’re a Dole Whip fan. Melts quickly.
Heather: Will Walt turn in his grave if I give this a 3?! Come on…Dole Whips are available in lots of places. It gets a 3 just because it is “basic” for this festival.
Felicia: Just a Dole Whip. It’s good but can get it anytime so wouldn’t stop here for it.

Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade

The Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade is non-alcoholic and a fan-favorite.

Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade 2024
  • Price: $4.75
  • Made with alcohol? No
  • Rating: 3.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Always popular at the festival. Pretty, refreshing, could be too sweet for some.
Heather: I know people love this but it just tastes like sugar water.
Felicia: Liked this more last year than I did this year. It’s fun, pretty, and sweet but not too bad. Easy to drink for those that like this sort of thing. Kind of a weird artificial flavor to it, though.

DOLE Whip with Fanta

DOLE whip topped with pineapple Fanta and is a non-alcoholic beverage.

DOLE Whip with Fanta 2024
  • Price: $6.75
  • Made with alcohol? No
  • Rating: 3.0/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Delicious if you’re a Dole Whip fan. Melts quickly.
Heather: Absolutely nothing special about this.
Felicia: Just like Dole Whip. Fanta didn’t add anything to it.

3 Daughters Brewing Tropical Hefe Wheat Ale 2024
  • Price: $5.75 (6 oz.) / $9.75 (12 oz.)
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 3.7/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Pretty standard ale. Nothing special.
Heather: Light and fresh. Love this one.
Felicia: Loved this one. The wheat beer at this booth is my favorite overall but would happily get any of the beers individually. All refreshing, none too sweet.

Copperpoint Brewing Co. Tropical Hibiscus Blonde Ale

Blonde ale brewed by Copperpoint Brewing Company.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.

Copperpoint Brewing Co. Tropical Hibiscus Blonde Ale 2024
  • Price: $5.75 (6 oz.)/ $9.75 (12 oz.)
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 3.0/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Thought this hibiscus ale was just…fine. Better options elsewhere.
Heather: Just not feeling any of the beers in this flight. It feels like they could find better options out there in beer world?
Felicia: I was looking forward to this one but I’m not a fan. It kind of tastes dirty and the tropical flavor doesn’t come thru.

Wicked Weed Brewing Perni Haze Hazy IPA

PerniHaze is a New England IPA style beer brewed by Wicked Weed Brewing in Asheville, NC.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.

Wicked Weed Brewing Perni Haze Hazy IPA 2024

  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 3.0/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Per my usual, don’t love Wicked Weed beers.
Heather: Better hazy IPAs at the festival.
Felicia: It’s okay. I like hazy IPAs but this one wasn’t my favorite. It’s a decent option but nothing special.

Playalinda Brewing Company Violet Lemonade Ale

Violet Lemonade Ale crafted by Playalinda Brewing Company in Titusville, Florida.

Playalinda Brewing Company Violet Lemonade Ale 2024
  • Price: $5.75 (6 oz.) / $9.75 (12 oz.)
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 3.7/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Such a light and refreshing drink. Not too sweet.
Heather: I gave this a 4 because it is better than just the violet lemonade.
Felicia: This is good and unique so I would recommend it for that. It’s not a repeatable beer for me but the lavender flavor is nice.

Florida Orange Groves Winery Sparkling Pineapple Wine

Sparkling pineapple wine made by Florida Orange Groves Winery in St. Petersburg, Florida. This is served by the glass or bottle.

Florida Orange Groves Winery Sparkling Pineapple Wine 2024
  • Price: $12.00
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 1.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Nope. Big fan of pineapple flavors usually but this isn’t it.
Heather: This is not my first time not liking this wine. It would probably taste better after 2-3 adult beverages.
Felicia: So gross. Sickly sweet. Funky flavor that doesn’t taste like pineapple. Don’t like it.

A classic Pineapple DOLE Whip topped with Sōmrus Mango Cream Liqueur.

DOLE Whip topped with Sōmrus Mango Cream Liqueur 2024
  • Price: $12.50
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 3.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Delicious if you’re a Dole Whip fan. Melts quickly.
Heather: I wish they could come up with something unique for this festival. I want them to channel their inner Chopped chef and re-use the Dole Whip in a novel way.
Felicia: Nice option with alcohol and Dole Whip. Flavors go together well.
