France remains a popular pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase, especially thanks to the food and the addition of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
So, yes, the Fleur de Lys booth at Flower and Garden is a busy one. You might want even considering rope dropping the outdoor kitchen, that’s how busy it can get.
The frozen slushy alcoholic beverage is always a favorite, including for us. It certainly tastes wonderful on a hot day.
Two new food items – the savory Pulled Duck Confit and the sweet Warm Lemon Cake – debut in 2024.
Our top choices are: the croissant with goat cheese, the Kronenbourg Blanc 1664 Draft Beer, and the famous La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy.

Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre: Croissant with Goat Cheese
Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre, Herbes et ail Rôtie is a croissant with goat cheese, herbs and roasted garlic.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Yumyumyum. Warm and perfectly melty.
Heather: I cursed in glee when I took my first bite. So very good. Warm, cheesy, and lots of flavor. LOVE!
Felicia: This is pretty good. The herb sauce on top has a nice flavor and the croissant is nice and flakey. There is a goat cheese sauce in the croissant that is good. Only complaint is it was a little dry.
Parmentier de Canard: Pulled Duck Confit
Parmentier de Canard A L’Orange is a pulled duck confit with orange sauce and garlic-rosemary mashed potatoes.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: So tender and great combo of flavors with the rosemary mashed potatoes.
Heather: Definitely tastes better than it looks! The potatoes are delicious, and the duck is fine. Lower marks because it was a little cold???
Felicia: This is an unappetizing blah beige color and the flavor is just as boring. It’s not bad but it certainly isn’t good. And it’s just so ugly. Can’t recommend it.
Gâteau au Crémeux Citron: Warm Lemon Cake
Gâteau au Crémeux Citron, Lavende et Thym, Compote de Fruits Rouges is a warm cake filled with lemon, lavender, and thyme-infused cream served with berry compote.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Cake is a little dry and definitely not warm as the description indicates.
Heather: Love the combination of flavors here. The cake is warm and the cream is enough without being TOO much.
Felicia: The cake is dry but the flavors are overall good. Fruitier than I expected. Cute presentation.
Beignet Caramélisé: Caramelized Beignet
Beignet Caramélisé, Fourré Crème Vanille, Glacé au Caramel Fleur de Sel is a caramelized beignet filled with vanilla cream and glazed with caramel fleur de sel.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: The combo of caramelization and vanilla cream is delicious. Not too sweet but just sweet enough.
Heather: Is it just a fancy donut thingy? Maybe. But YUM. Definitely a tasty treat with strong vanilla flavors.
Felicia: This is kind of like a cream filled donut topped with caramelized sugar. Nothing great about the donut and there is a lot of filling compared to pastry. The caramelized top was cooked perfectly which was good.
Kronenbourg Blanc 1664 Draft Beer
1664 Draft Beer is a French wheat beer produced by Kronenbourg Blanc.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Yum! What a delightfully light but slightly floral beer.
Heather: Nothing fancy…but a good beer if you just want … a beer.
Felicia: This is a good beer. Slightly sweet but refreshing. Only thing I really liked at the booth and I wouldn’t waste my time waiting in line for it. Easy to find almost anywhere.
Sparkling Raspberry Cocktail
A mix of sparkling wine with a tart raspberry flavor.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Love the raspberry twist to it. Little too dry for my taste, but champagne lovers might like it.
Heather: Pretty glass and it TASTES good. I just don’t think adding a pump of raspberry syrup makes it a “cocktail”? I guess TECHNICALLY it is. But it is well priced and it tastes good.
Felicia: Tastes like cheap sparkling wine with artificial raspberry flavor. It’s just sparkling wine with Monin raspberry.
Jean Bojour Val de Loire
A crisp Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley of France.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Light and not too sweet. Perfect pairing with the food.
Heather: Very nice white! This is a good wine for people like me.
Felicia: Not too dry or too sweet. Overall a solid white wine but not worth waiting in line at the booth for.
La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy
The La Vie en Rose frozen slushy features vodka, Grey Goose L’Orange vodka, St. Germain Liqueur, white and red cranberry juice.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Like the frozen drinks that are so popular in the France pavilion year round, this is a delicious option with a cranberry twist. Love love love.
Heather: The France pavilion is known for their frozen drinks, and this one is always a hit with my tastebuds!
Felicia: This is very sweet but the flavor overall isn’t bad. Another popular drink that I don’t necessarily think is worth the money.
