Northern Bloom Menu & Review (2024 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival)

Northern Bloom Menu & Review (2024 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival)

As you enter the World Showcase and walk towards the Canada pavilion, you may want to make a stop at the Northern Bloom outdoor kitchen.

Here you’ll find a range of beer and other Canadian-inspired fare.

This year, we see the return of the Seared Scallops, Beef Tenderloin Tips, and Chocolate Maple Whisky Cake, along with two new beers and a new wine to sample.

If you want a good beer flight and delicious dessert, Northern Bloom has both!

All food and drink items from Northern Bloom 2024

Since this is near the entrance of the World Showcase, the area and booth can get very busy. Sometimes the line at Northern Bloom is quite long, so definitely take that into account.

Be sure to check back our 2024 Northern Bloom must-tries, photos, full reviews, and ratings below.

When it comes to our reviews and ratings, we thought it would be helpful if you had a better understanding of our personal preferences (what we like and don’t like), along with if there are any dietary restrictions.

Here’s a breakdown of not only who is doing the reviews, but a little more information about what each of us likes and doesn’t like food and drink-wise.

Shannon (Founder)

  • Likes: Almost everything
  • Dislikes: Beers that taste “stinky,” anything too salty
  • Dietary Restrictions: None

Heather (Editor)

  • Likes: Strong flavors, anything made out of potatoes, white wines, all beers (especially stouts and wheat beers), doesn’t mind sweet (plain fruit is NOT a dessert. Ever.)
  • Dislikes: Things that are too spicy, anything with a bone still in it, cocktails with too much whiskey or tequila (thanks to having too much fun in college), some red wines, most IPAs
  • Dietary Restrictions: Shellfish allergy

Felicia (Content Manager)

  • Likes: Mezcal, savory drinks, stouts/lagers/wheats/sour beers, vinegar, tart/sour items, chocolate, fresh vegetables and fruits, red meat
  • Dislikes: Ciders, sweet drinks, anything milky or creamy, chili powder, cumin, weirded out by textures, mayonnaise, saucy/wet food, cream-filled pastries, artificial fruit flavors, cooked fruits, frozen items (drinks or ice cream)
  • Dietary Restrictions: None

Seared Scallops

Seared Scallops with French green beans, butter potatoes, brown butter vinaigrette and applewood-smoked bacon.

Seared Scallops 2024
  • Price: $7.75
  • Special Diets: Gluten-Friendly
  • Rating: 3.5/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Rubbery scallops, small portion.
Felicia: The scallops are tender and cooked perfectly. The green beans are crunchy and probably a little undercooked but still good. Another solid food.

Beef Tenderloin Tips

Beef tenderloin tips, mushroom bordelaise sauce, and whipped potatoes with garden vegetables.

Beef Tenderloin Tips 2024
  • Price: $7.25
  • Special Diets: N/A
  • Rating: 4.7/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Really loved this. Better than previous years. Tender meat, delicious potatoes and crunchy carrots.
Heather: The mashed potatoes and gravy are on point. The beef was incredibly tender. I didn’t love this last year-but bless the Canadians for giving us this mouth masterpiece.
Felicia: The bordelaise sauce and mashed potatoes are good and the beef this year is super tender and delicious. So much better than last year and I love it.

Chocolate Maple Whisky Cake

A chocolate bundt cake with maple and whisky flavors.

Chocolate Maple Whisky Cake 2024
  • Price: $4.50
  • Special Diets: Kid-Friendly
  • Rating: 4.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: So good. Nice portion. Delicious chocolate. Maple flavor is slight.
Heather: Delicious-just heavy and very, very rich. Definitely good for sharing!
Felicia: Not much whiskey but there is a good maple flavor, and it’s dense and rich chocolate cake with good flavor. Kid friendly.

Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Blackberry Wine

A sweet and bubbly sparkling wine made with blackberries by Florida Orange Groves in St. Petersburg, FL.

Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Blackberry Wine 2024
  • Price: $12.00
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 3.7/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Too sweet, but do appreciate the light blackberry flavor.
Heather: Excellent example of a sparkling wine that is easy to drink. Definitely can appreciate the blackberry notes in this!
Felicia: The first Florida Orange Groves item I have ever liked. It’s sweet but not too much and the blackberry flavor is strong. Tastes more like juice than wine.

Collective Arts Brewing Beyond Reason Micro Pale Ale

A low ABV (2.9%) pale ale brewed by Collective Arts in Ontario, Canada.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.

  • Price: $5.75 (6 oz.) / $9.75 (12 oz.)
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 4.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Nice, light beer. Almost a floral aftertaste.
Heather: Delicious pale ale. So very tasty without being heavy. I would get this in a large size.
Felicia: This would be a good first dive into a pale ale. Not nearly as bitter or strong as most are. Super refreshing, love it alone or in the flight.

Glutenberg Blonde Ale

A Blonde Ale brewed by Glutenberg in Montreal, Quebec.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.

Glutenberg Blonde Ale 2024
  • Price: $5.75 (6 oz.) / $9.75 (12 oz.)
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 4.0/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Really light and enjoyable flavor. Would order full sized.
Heather: Light, fresh and oddly floral? Who cares. It’s good.
Felicia: Refreshing and mellow. Easy-drinking beer for walking around World Showcase on a hot day.

Collective Arts Brewing Grapefruit Lime Sour

A citrus forward sour ale brewed with grapefruit and lime by Collective Arts Brewing in Ontario, Canada.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.

  • Price: $5.75 (6 oz.) / $9.75 (12 oz.)
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 3.7/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Definitely lives up to the “sour” in the name. Unfortunately, not in a good way.
Heather: Omg this is soooo good and refreshing! Love love love!
Felicia: Yum, so tart and delicious. Very sour and fun flavor. It’s very citrusy though.
