La Isla Fresca Menu & Review (2024 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival)

La Isla Fresca Menu & Review (2024 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival)

The La Isla Fresca booth is all about the Caribbean.

In addition to both sweet and savory dishes, you can find some refreshing beverages here. This year, there is a tropical breeze with and without alcohol.

Once again, the booth features the plant-based Coconut Tres Leches dessert. A new addition is another plant-based item: Impossible Jamaican Beef Patty with Spicy Papaya Syrup.

But, really, La Isla Fresca is a top-notch booth and one you shouldn’t sleep on. It is that good.

All items from the La Isla Fresca 2024

Typically, this booth sees long lines, so be prepared to wait.

You will also find a special breakfast menu served here daily starting at 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to test the Breakfast Empanada or the Dulce de Leche Cocoa Coffee.

Be sure to check our 2024 La Isla Fresca must-tries, photos, full reviews, and ratings for all of the other menu offerings below.

When it comes to our reviews and ratings, we thought it would be helpful if you had a better understanding of our personal preferences (what we like and don’t like), along with if there are any dietary restrictions.

Here’s a breakdown of not only who is doing the reviews, but a little more information about what each of us likes and doesn’t like food and drink-wise.

Shannon (Founder)

  • Likes: Almost everything
  • Dislikes: Beers that taste “stinky,” anything too salty
  • Dietary Restrictions: None

Heather (Editor)

  • Likes: Strong flavors, anything made out of potatoes, white wines, all beers (especially stouts and wheat beers), doesn’t mind sweet (plain fruit is NOT a dessert. Ever.)
  • Dislikes: Things that are too spicy, anything with a bone still in it, cocktails with too much whiskey or tequila (thanks to having too much fun in college), some red wines, most IPAs
  • Dietary Restrictions: Shellfish allergy

Felicia (Content Manager)

  • Likes: Mezcal, savory drinks, stouts/lagers/wheats/sour beers, vinegar, tart/sour items, chocolate, fresh vegetables and fruits, red meat
  • Dislikes: Ciders, sweet drinks, anything milky or creamy, chili powder, cumin, weirded out by textures, mayonnaise, saucy/wet food, cream-filled pastries, artificial fruit flavors, cooked fruits, frozen items (drinks or ice cream)
  • Dietary Restrictions: None

Photos & Reviews

Impossible Jamaican Beef Patty

Impossible Jamaican beef patty topped with a spicy papaya syrup.

Impossible Jamaican Beef Patty 2024
  • Price: $6.50
  • Special Diets: N/A
  • Rating: 4.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Huge, huge portion. Delicious flavors. Has a kick. Could be a light lunch.
Heather: The flavors in this are amazing. Spicy without being too hot, the crisp shell is a treat. A definite win for me!
Felicia: Huge portion and big flavors. The IMPOSSIBLE meat is a great substitute and the Jamaican flavors are fun and delicious. Only didn’t give it a 5 because the shell was very crunchy and a little hard to eat.

Coconut Tres Leches

Coconut Tres Leches is a vanilla cake soaked in oat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk with toasted coconut. This dish is also part of the Garden Graze, the food crawl where you can earn a prize.

Coconut Tres Leches 2024
  • Price: $5.00
  • Special Diets: Plant-Based
  • Rating: 4.7/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Love the light coconut flavor. Manages to be soft without being soggy.
Heather: One of my favorite sweets from this festival! Loved it. Coconut without being fake and not too sweet.
Felicia: This was so good. The coconut is light, the whipped topping is light and perfectly sweet, not too much. The cake is moist and delicious but not soggy. So good and perfect on a hot day if you need (or want) a dessert.

Tropical Slush

The Tropical Slush is non-alcoholic and made with lemonade, grapefruit and simple syrup.

Tropical Slush 2024
  • Price: $4.50
  • Made with alcohol? No
  • Rating: 3.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Refreshing but syrupy sweet.
Heather: I love grapefruit so this tastes delicious! So tart, though.
Felicia: Loved this. The grapefruit is a bit strong and bitter but I like the flavor. It’s not super sweet and it’s cold and refreshing.

Wicked Weed Brewing Mango Wowie Hazy IPA

A tropical hazy India pale ale brewed with mango by Wicked Weed Brewing in Asheville, NC.

Wicked Weed Brewing Mango Wowie Hazy IPA 2024
  • Price: $5.75 (6 oz.) / $9.75 (12 oz.)
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 3.7/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Not usually a fan of Wicked Weed beers, but liked this a lot. Slight fruit taste is refreshing.
Heather: Honestly I wanted to hate this beer because it replaced one of my favorite beers at Flower and Garden – but this is a great hazy IPA.
Felicia: Just okay. The mango flavor is barely there and the beer that was here last year was so delicious that this is a huge disappointment.

Tropical Perception White Sangria

This Tropical Perception White Sangria is made by Florida Orange Groves Winery in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Tropical Perception White Sangria 2024
  • Price: $11.50
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 3.3/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Sweet and small. Didn’t love.
Heather: Delicious white sangria. A bit heavy on the “sweet” to be too refreshing, but very good flavors.
Felicia: This is very sweet, but if you like tropical flavors and white wine this could be a good option for you.

Tropical Breeze with Don Q Límon Rum

This Tropical Breeze is made with Don Q Límon Rum, lemonade, grapefruit and simple syrup.

Tropical Breeze with Don Q Límon Rum 2024
  • Price: $11.50
  • Made with alcohol? Yes
  • Rating: 3.7/5

Our Thoughts

Shannon: Tastes same as non-alcoholic version.
Heather: Love the freshness of the flavor here. Very tart, so it’s not great with the chorizo-but solo it is a win.
Felicia: Good with and without alcohol. Rum works well with this and it’s still refreshing. Loved it.
