If you find yourself in the America pavilion, aka The American Adventure, you’ll see the Magnolia Terrace booth.
This outdoor kitchen focuses on serving dishes inspired by the bayou and classic comfort food of the American Gulf Coast.
All three food options are returning from last year’s festival, including the Spicy Chicken Gumbo with Andouille sausage and Long Grain & Wild Rice.
Two new beers join the line-up. The lone cocktail is the returning Bayou Cocktail with Bayou Spiced Rum, Coconut Rum, Fruit Punch and Orange Juice.
This is far from our favorite booth, but there are a few good menu options that we’d order again, especially the Muffuletta Panini, Bananas Foster Bread Pudding, and the beer flight.

Photos & Reviews
Muffuletta Panini
A muffuletta panini with ham, salami, mortadella, provolone, and Swiss with olive salad.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Nice portion, good flavors. Slightly salty.
Heather: So very good. Love the olives. Great flavor – nice portion size
Felicia: Huge portion, so much delicious melty cheese, salty olive salad complements that complements the sandwich well. The bread on the muffuletta is crispy and great.
Spicy Chicken Gumbo
Spicy chicken gumbo with andouille sausage and Long Grain & Wild Rice.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Generous portion but tastes like spicy, salty brown gravy. No thanks.
Heather: TOO SPICY for my delicate, soft, sensitive mouth but I think if I push through the pain there is good flavor.
Felicia: This is spicy and salty and has a decent flavor. The chicken texture is kind of gross. Just okay.
Banana Foster Bread Pudding
A bread pudding that is crispy on the outside and soft in the center finished with a bananas foster topping.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Slightly sweet. Great flavors. Nice balance to the other items at this booth.
Heather: Very moist and honestly not too sweet. The bread is nicely done, caramel tastes yummy.
Felicia: A little too mushy but the flavors are great. Nice spice to it, the sauce is delicious and the bananas are cooked well.
Bayou Cocktail
Bayou Cocktail, which is Bayou Spiced Rum, coconut rum, fruit punch, and Minute Maid Orange Juice.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Hard to go wrong with rum and fruit punch. Delicious. Decent portion.
Heather: I really like it but coconut in the USA is confusing to my brain.
Felicia: This is super sweet and the coconut flavor is pretty strong. Slight fruit punch flavor.
Urban Artifact Capy Snacks
A fruit punch flavored ale brewed by Urban Artifact brewery in Cincinnatti, OH.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Wasn’t sure what to expect in a fruit ale but loved this. Slightly sweet but delicious. Appreciated it after eating the spicy food.
Heather: Maybe if this wasn’t called “fruit punch” I would like it more? It has a very odd flavor that isn’t pleasant. At all.
Felicia: What a fun beer! Tastes like fruit punch in a sour beer form. Such a strong fruit flavor and I love it.
Schneider Weisse Love Beer
A wheat beer that is golden in color and has hints of elderflower, citrus, and stone fruit and is brewed by Schneider Weisse.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: People who prefer a beer taste over a fruity cider will appreciate this. Loved.
Heather: This is fine. Nothing overly amazing about it, though. So many other better options at the festival!
Felicia: Can definitely taste the orange and clove. Tastes like a typical Weiss beer and I don’t mind it. Love this flight.
Parish Brewing Co. Ghost in the Machine Double IPA
Ghost in the Machine Double IPA brewed by Parish Brewing Co. in Broussard, Louisiana.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: One of the best IPAs I’ve had. Really light and refreshing.
Heather: Double IPAs are the jam. They give you flavor without tasting pretentious.
Felicia: Very good for an IPA. Smoother than most and the hoppy flavor is relatively mellow. Liked this.
