Yet another popular pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase is Mexico.
Guests love the food and the beverages here, which is probably why the Jardin de Fiestas booth never seems to be without a line.
So, if you want to try Mexican-inspired dishes and special margaritas, this is the outdoor kitchen to visit.
All that said, this booth is never a standout for us and that remains the same in 2023.
While the food is pretty decent this year (and you get nice-sized portions), sadly, we aren’t raving about the margaritas. Regarding the latter, they had beautiful presentations but the taste wasn’t there.

Review Disclaimer
When it comes to our reviews and ratings, we thought it would be helpful if you had a better understanding of our personal preferences (what we like and don’t like), along with if there are any dietary restrictions.
Here’s a breakdown of not only who is doing the reviews, but a little more information about what each of us likes and doesn’t like food and drink-wise.
Shannon (Founder)
- Likes: Almost everything
- Dislikes: Beers that taste “stinky,” anything too salty
- Dietary Restrictions: None
Heather (Editor)
- Likes: Strong flavors, anything made out of potatoes, white wines, all beers (especially stouts and wheat beers), doesn’t mind sweet (plain fruit is NOT a dessert. Ever.)
- Dislikes: Things that are too spicy, anything with a bone still in it, cocktails with too much whiskey or tequila (thanks to having too much fun in college), some red wines, most IPAs
- Dietary Restrictions: Shellfish allergy
Felicia (Content Manager)
- Likes: Mezcal, savory drinks, stouts/lagers/wheats/sour beers, vinegar, tart/sour items, chocolate, fresh vegetables and fruits, red meat
- Dislikes: Ciders, sweet drinks, anything milky or creamy, chili powder, cumin, weirded out by textures, mayonnaise, saucy/wet food, cream-filled pastries, artificial fruit flavors, cooked fruits, frozen items (drinks or ice cream)
- Dietary Restrictions: None
Allyson (Managing Writer)
- Likes: Cheesecake (the more sweets, the better), anything mint, hazy IPAs and wheat beers (big beer fan), tofu and most Impossible dishes, mushrooms
- Dislikes: Wine (only likes a few dry ones), cream ales and stouts/porters, super sweet cocktails, floral flavors (lavender, rose), anything almond-flavored, things that are too spicy, olives, meat and seafood (see below)
- Dietary Restrictions: Vegetarian (personal choice)
Photos & Reviews
Quesadilla de Flor de Calabaza
House-made masa tortillas with squash blossoms, bacon, onion, zucchini, and cheese. This is a new 2023 festival item.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Nope, don’t let the quesadilla in the name convince you to try it. Bland, despite lots of components.
Heather: Absolutely delicious! A large portion size – but this is this isn’t an American-style quesadilla – so make sure you understand that when you order.
Felicia: Loved this so much. The corn tortilla is super thick which I didn’t expect to like but did. Flavor of the filling is good and the green salsa is tart and a perfect complement. Love the food at this booth.
Taco Vampiro
Taco Vampiro is barbacoa beef in a corn tortilla with crispy grilled Monterey jack cheese, salsa ranchera, and esquites.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Tough tortilla, bland taste.
Heather: Good flavor with a little kick. A bit heavy on the salt. I can feel myself retaining water as I type this. Just took another bite. Still like it.
Felicia: Delicious. The beef has a great flavor, the shell is crispy and the sauce is a little tart and complements the taco well. The little side of corn was tasty as well. Loved it.
Mala Hierba Margarita
Centinela Tequila Reposado, elderflower-chamomile tea, Abasolo Corn Whiskey, and UNA Flower-infused Vodka with a chile salt rim.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Whew! Really not great. Hard to not make a face after taking a sip.
Heather: Maybe I’m not fancy enough for this. I looked like Sam the Poison Face when I drank it.
Felicia: Overpriced and tasted like cheap liquor and some slight floral. Not a fan.
Allyson: This burned going down my throat. Absolutely not. So overpriced.
Cristal Margarita
100% Agave Tequila Blanco, Ilegal Mezcal Joven, clarified lemon juice, and orange liqueur in a souvenir cup.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: If rubbing alcohol and lemonade had a baby. No no no.
Heather: Again – not a great margarita. Head inside to La Cava for better options.
Felicia: Nice mezcal flavor and super adorable cup. But kind of watery and not much flavor. Plus, overpriced. Get a margarita at La Cava instead.
Allyson: Holy crap – and not in a good way. It burns! It burns! Way overpriced.
Craft Mexican Lager
Craft Mexican Lager. This was a Vienna style lager by Cerveceria Cielito Lindo when we were at the festival, but this may change.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Not bad, but not great either. Other options available at other booths that are better but cost less.
Heather: Very generic – would be great if you just want a beer to sip, but at a festival I prefer things that are kind of unique.
Felicia: Delicious lager that is easy to drink. Love it for a hot day.
Allyson: A nice lager, especially on a hot day. Good for those who don’t want a fancy craft beer. But also a tad overpriced for what it is.
