The Hops & Barley booth is all about American craft beer, wines, and dishes.
You can find the marketplace in the American Adventure, on the opposite side of the area from Regal Eagle Smokehouse.
This year, we were very impressed with every single food item. The beer and wine were fine, but it was the food that really stood out to us here.
There’s always lots of outdoor seating (some covered) and from this location you can easily listen to the musical groups performing at the America Gardens Theatre during the Eat to the Beat Concert Series.
Here’s everything else you need to know about the Hops & Barley booth, including reviews, photos, and our must-trys.

Chesapeake Crab Slider
A slider filled with Chesapeake crab, tangy coleslaw, and Cajun remoulade.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Like little crab cake sliders. Liked the combo of flavors.
Felicia: This was surprisingly good. Didn’t expect to like the crab from a booth but all the flavors go together well. The bread is a bit dry but otherwise good.
Hot Beef Sandwich
A warm griddled bun topped with hot beef, horseradish cream, and pickled vegetables.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Delicious! Love the flavor and kick.
Heather: The pickled veggies are good but under represented. The horseradish sauce is great. Decent amount of beef. I just talked myself into liking it.
Felicia: This was not good last year but I love it this year. The bread held the sandwich, the fried onions added texture and flavor, the horseradish sauce was delicious. Good portion. Really liked this.
Carrot Cake
A freshly baked individual sized carrot cake topped with cream cheese icing.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Big carrot cake lover. This didn’t disappoint.
Heather: I love this! Its “just” carrot cake but it is moist and the perfect level of sweet. Plus since it is carrot cake that means it is healthy.
Felicia: Solid dessert. Delicious carrot cake and the icing is good. Not too sweet. Overall, great dessert.
Allyson: This is just as good as last year. Seriously good carrot cake
81Bay Brewing Co. Strawberry and Lime Ale
A wheat ale made with strawberry and lime brewed by 81Bay Brewing Co. in Tampa, FL.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Strawberry and lime description sounded better than it is.
Heather: The lime flavor is a lot more intense than the strawberry. Which is tragic, because I like strawberries. Booo
Felicia: If you’re looking for a light beer that is fruity but not overpowering and sweet, this is a great option. Very refreshing.
Allyson: Absolutely not. Yuck.
Lexington Brewing Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale
A barrel-aged ale brewed with cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, pumpkin in Lexington, Kentucky.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Bitter and I don’t want to drink pumpkin flavored drinks when it’s 100 degree heat index.
Heather: I think the barrel this was stored in was full of garbage. Blech.
Felicia: This is a nice subtle pumpkin flavor. Relatively light. It’s good.
Allyson: I love a pumpkin beer, but this isn’t my favorite. There’s just something I don’t like about it.
Lord Hobo Brewing Boom Sauce DIPA
Boom Sauce Double IPA is made with 5 different types of hops and is the flagship beer of Lord Hobo Brewing in Woburn, MA.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Light but bland flavor.
Heather: My favorite out of the flight. I like a beer with flavor, so this was pretty good. But also – double the alcohol so HELLLLO.
Felicia: Another decent IPA. It’s relatively hoppy so wouldn’t recommend for someone looking for easy drinking beer.
Allyson: Loooove this! Not too hoppy and so smooth. I’d get a full size of this.
Bold Rock Roast Coffee Hard Cider
A cold brewed hard cider featuring medium roast coffee infusion that is brewed by Bold Rock Hard Cider in Mills River, NC.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Unexpected combo of flavors, but also unexpectedly tasty. Coffee flavor lingers.
Heather: WHY DOES THIS SMELL LIKE COFFEE BUT IT’S CLEAR?! It hurts my brain.
Felicia: The best cider I’ve tried. Nice coffee flavor and it isn’t too sweet or apple-y. I probably wouldn’t order it but it was good.
Allyson: Coffee and cider don’t go together. No thank you.
Longevity Chardonnay
A crisp medium-bodied white wine aged in French oak barrels and made by Longevity Winery in Livermore Valley, CA.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Doesn’t taste like a Chardonnay. Also doesn’t taste good.
Heather: It’s pretty ok….if you like wine.
Felicia: Totally average white wine. Nothing memorable or worth getting.
Allyson: This tastes like wine and yeah. Eh.
Tribute Cabernet Sauvignon
A medium-bodied, dry but slightly fruity red wine made by Tribute winery in California.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Not a great cab. Tasted like vinegar.
Heather: Light, easy on the tongue.
Felicia: This is a drinkable Cabernet. Not too dry and relatively easy to drink. Wouldn’t go out of my way to get it.
Allyson: Eh. Not a wine fan.
