There aren’t many new booths for 2022, but The Fry Basket is one of them.
It’s located in World Discovery near Test Track and Cool Wash. As you may have already guessed by the name, this booth is all about fries — both savory and sweet options.
We’ve never turned our backs on carbs, so we were excited to check it out.
While we didn’t walk away raving about this booth as a whole, there were a couple items that we’d go back for again — the Salty Dog Cocktail and the Adobe Yuca Fries (a great vegetarian option).

Tip: The Fry Flight can be modified. After you pay and hand your receipt to the Cast Member next to the stand, just ask if you can modify the flight.
Here’s everything you need to know about The Fry Basket booth, including reviews, photos, and our must-trys.

- Likes: Strong flavors, anything made out of potatoes, white wines, all beers (especially stouts and wheat beers), doesn’t mind sweet (plain fruit is NOT a dessert. Ever.)
- Dislikes: Things that are too spicy, anything with a bone still in it, cocktails with too much whiskey or tequila (thanks to having too much fun in college), some red wines, most IPAs
- Dietary Restrictions: Shellfish allergy
Felicia (Content Manager)

Adobo Yuca Fries with Garlic-Cilantro Aïoli
Crispy yucca fries served with a tasty garlic-cilantro aïoli sauce.

Our Thoughts
Shannon: Interesting texture from the yuca and coating. Wanted more flavor.
Heather: Pretty good …. But, they are greasy. I know they were running out so they were cooking quickly, so maybe that’s why.
Felicia: These were very good. The yuca is thicker and a bit chewier than a traditional potato fry, but has great garlicky and salty flavor.
Allyson: I love yuca fries so much better than standard fries (go to Nomad Lounge for them)! The aioli is also fantastic. Highly recommend.
Fry Flight
A collection of fries served 3 different ways: Sea Salt and Malt and Vinegar, Barbecued Bacon Fries with Smoked Aïoli, and Sweet Potato Casserole Fries with Candied Pecans, Toasted Marshmallow Cream and Caramel Whiskey.

Our Thoughts
Shannon: Liked the sweet potato fries but the others were plain. Wish the fries could be ordered individually vs just in a flight.
Heather: I love everything but the plain ones with vinegar. And I only don’t like them because they don’t feel special enough to be a part of that flight. But the sweet potato ones are delicious. They are coated in yummy. Just know your fingers are gonna get sticky.
Felicia: Giving this a 4 because the flight has 3 very unique fry options that are all decently good. I probably wouldn’t order any of them individually but together it’s a good purchase.
Allyson: I couldn’t eat the bacon ones (I’m a vegetarian), but I really liked the sea salt and sweet potato ones. If you like fries, get this. It’s nice to have a small option of variety.
Salty Dog Cocktail
A cocktail made with Boyd & Blair Vodka with Grapefruit Juice, Ginger, Simple Syrup and Lime with a Salted Rim.

Our Thoughts
Shannon: Deeee-lish. So light and refreshing plus a good portion.
Heather: So freaking refreshing. Crisp, probably dangerous on a hot day.
Felicia: Salty Dogs are one of my 2 favorite cocktails in normal life. This one is not my favorite but it isn’t bad. Has a bit of an artificial lime flavor. Still like it though.
Allyson: An excellent cocktail. Love the grapefruit flavor and very refreshing. But it is on the more expensive side.
Key Lime Lager
A tart lager with hints of key lime from 81Bay Brewing Co in Tampa, FL.

Our Thoughts
Shannon: Light, small portion, but kinda bland.
Heather: Great beer option and it goes fantastically with the fries. Not worth a special trip, but if I was back at the booth, I’d order it again!
Felicia: I like this a lot. The lime isn’t overpowering and it’s a super refreshing beer. Great in the heat.
Allyson: A little too sweet for me but if you’re a key lime fan, you’ll like this.
