The Belgium booth means we get to eat more Belgian waffles — if that’s your kind of thing, of course.
The marketplace is set up between the Morocco and France pavilions. It’s a good hub of booths and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating nearby.
Here, we recommend the Belgian Waffle with Warm Chocolate Ganache, Belgian Waffle with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream, and the alcoholic Chilled Coffee cocktail.
The waffles also make good kid-friendly options.
Note: Be sure to eat the waffles right away, because the heat melts the toppings and makes them soggy.
It’s also important to note that Belgium is one booth that opens before the rest — beginning at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast.
There are a few breakfast options, including both Belgium waffles. Then, starting at 11 a.m., you can order from the regular Food and Wine menu available at the booth.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Belgium booth, including reviews, photos, and our must-trys.

Beer-braised Beef
A delicious beer braised beef served with smoked Gouda mashed potatoes.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Good combo of flavors between the meat and potatoes. Gouda in the mashed potatoes a nice touch.
Heather: Loved the mashed potatoes, but the sauce/gravy was a bit too sweet for me. The beef was tender, but it tasted like it came out of a can. Thank you, Dinty Moore.
Felicia: Gross and sweet and mushy and not appetizing to look at. I appreciated this last year but really disliked this year.
Belgian Waffle with Warm Chocolate Ganache
Belgian-style waffle topped with a warm chocolate ganache and whipped cream.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Mushy and overly sweet.
Heather: Is it a basic waffle with chocolate sauce? Yes. But is it delicious? Also yes. This is also a great option for kids, and as an added bonus – it isn’t too sweet.
Felicia: This is delicious. Great waffle that isn’t too sweet, the chocolate and whipped cream are delicious. Would happily get this again as a great dessert option.
Allyson: A nice fluffy Belgian Waffle that’s not super heavy. A good kid-friendly option.
Belgian Waffle with Berry Compote
Belgian-style waffle topped with a berry compote and whipped cream.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Little mushy but berries add just the right amount of sweetness.
Heather: I really love the waffles here. They are light and fluffy and the berries are just the right bit of tartness. Like me.
Felicia: This is very good. Great waffle that isn’t too sweet and the berry compote is tart and delicious. Can I just get a bowl of the berries?
Allyson: Similar to the other Belgian Waffle available here, but not as sweet thanks to the berries. I liked this better than the one with chocolate. Kids would like this too.
St. Bernardus Witbier
St. Bernardus Witbier is a wheat beer and a traditional Belgian white beer.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Light but kinda bitter.
Heather: Good and tasty, easy to drink. But, the downside is there just isn’t a ton of flavor.
Felicia: This is decent for a witbier, in my opinion. Nice flavor but also pretty common in liquor stores so not sure I would go out of my way to try it.
Allyson: I love a WitBier, so, yeah, get me another glass of this.
Chilled Coffee featuring Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
A chilled coffee spiked with Godiva Chocolate Liqueur.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Light, good portion, nice combo of flavors.
Heather: Extremely sweet but would be a good alternative to dessert. Tasted like a mudslide.
Felicia: This has great flavor. It reminds me of a White Russian or a mudslide. It’s a bit sweet for me and too heavy for the heat.
Allyson: This is exactly what you think it is — and, yes, it’s good. Might not be great on a hot day, though.
Delirium Red Fruit Beer
The Delirium Red Fruit Beer is from the Huyghe Brewery and is a Belgian Fruit Ale.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Cough syrup. No.
Heather: Tastes like how cough drops smell. Blech.
Felicia: If I could give this a zero, I would. If you want to remember what it feels like to be sick and forced to drink cherry cough syrup, go ahead and get this.
Allyson: Why am I drinking cough syrup? A big nope.
