Each year, you can find the Appleseed Orchard booth inside the Canada Pavilion, where Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360 plays.
Unfortunately, this means the daily show about Canada won’t play for the duration of Food & Wine.
But, this also means you can enjoy a range of apple-themed food and drinks celebrating autumn inside a covered area with air conditioning.
If you don’t want to stand to eat and drink inside the theater, there are tables through the doors to the left of the cash registers.
As much as we wanted to like this booth last year, it fell short in more ways than one. Sadly, our opinions didn’t change this year, either.
There were 2 drinks that we did end up liking, but, overall, this isn’t a great booth.
We recommend walking in for the air conditioning or getting food nearby at Refreshment Port and bringing it here to eat in a covered, cool area.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Appleseed Orchard booth, including reviews, photos, and our must-trys.

Photos & Reviews
Apple Crumble Tart
A mini-tart filled with apple filling and topped with crumbles.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Generously sized, delicious proportion of apple, crust, and crumble.
Heather: Great crust – but it tastes a little commercial.
Felicia: This tastes like an average apple tart but it’s served room temperature and very much comes across as mass-produced. It feels like it should be hot.
Allyson: Nothing outstanding, but it is a very good apple pie tart.
Frozen Apple Pie
A frozen sweet apple flavored slushy topped with graham cracker crumbles.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Delicious frozen drink with all of the elements of an apple pie in a cup.
Heather: Too sweet and also, the insides of apples are white and this drink is red so visually I feel like I’m drinking apple peels.
Felicia: Very sweet and not much else. Might be good for slushy fans, not for me though.
Allyson: Tastes like an apple pie. Kid-friendly and good non-alcoholic option.
Cinnamon Apple Cider
A warm apple cider spiced with cinnamon.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Heavy emphasis on the cinnamon in this drink. A little too much.
Heather: If you prefer drinks without alcohol, this is a nice option. It’s a little sweet but I guess that is par for the course for carbonated apple juice with hints of cinnamon.
Felicia: This is cold which is nice. Super sweet and not for me. I bet kids would like it, though.
Allyson: Tastes like your average apple cider, but still tasty.
Original Sin Hard Cider
Original Sin is an all-natural American craft cider made in New York, NY.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Very light and refreshing.
Heather: But more of a bite than the other ciders at this booth. Not as sweet.
Felicia: Too sweet and too apple-y. Not for cider haters.
Allyson: Pretty good and has a drier taste, which I like.
Saint Chéri Bourbon Barrel Aged Cherry
A semi-sweet cider made with Montmorency cherries and aged in bourbon barrels by Blake’s Hard Cider Co. in Armada, MI.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Bourbon taste really comes through but not too strong.
Heather: Love the smell. Tastes sweet, so less refreshing and almost like a dessert cider. Is that a thing? Dessert ciders? If not – I’ve got dibs on the phrase “dessert cider”.
Felicia: Too sweet and tastes like cough syrup. Gross.
Allyson: Definitely on the sweeter side. Not my favorite cider here but good.
Big Storm Brewing Co. Apple Blonde Ale
Apple blonde ale brewed by Big Storm Brewing Co. in Clearwater, FL.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Oh no. Too bitter. Didn’t pick up any apple flavor.
Heather: Great ale but I don’t taste apple. Was I lied to?
Felicia: Just tastes like nothing. So it’s fine and easy to drink. Glad to not have the apple flavor.
Allyson: I’m not sure what it is about this, but the taste is very unappealing.
3 Daughters Brewing Apple Pecan Brown Ale
Apple pecan brown ale brewed by 3 Daughters Brewing in St. Petersburg, FL.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Delicious for a brown ale.
Heather: Ok. I raised my review from last year. Did the flavor improve or did I get nicer? Rich flavor. Little bit sweet. Pretty good.
Felicia: The apple flavor is mild enough to be fine. Wouldn’t order it though.
Allyson: Not a fan of brown ales. I usually love 3 Daughters, but this wasn’t my favorite.
Bold Rock Imperial Apple Hard Cider
Bold Rock Imperial Apple Hard Cider is a semi-sweet American cider.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: One of my fave ciders ever. So light and just a tad sweet.
Heather: It’s a little bit sweet. But you know what? It’s a cider and that’s all it needs to be. No muss. No fuss.
Felicia: Very sweet and very apple-y. Tastes like sparkling apple cider. Meh.
Allyson: I really liked this. Just the right amount of tart. Also refreshing. I’d get a full glass of this.
Playalinda Brewing Caramel Apple Pie Ale
Playalinda Brewing Caramel Apple Pie Ale is a fruit beer made in Titusville, FL.
Note: this drink is also available in a flight.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Just the right amount of sweetness.
Heather: Definitely taste the caramel…I really like this one. It’s got a deep flavor.
Felicia: Can definitely taste the caramel and something artificial. Don’t really like it.
Allyson: If you don’t like caramel don’t get this because it’s all you can taste.
Apple Blossom Sky
A fruity cocktail made with Fanta Apple, ginger beer, Floodwall Apple Brandy, maple syrup, and topped with mini marshmallows.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Looks better than it tastes. Lots of strong apple flavors mixed with strong brandy.
Heather: It looks cute, smells good, too sweet for my tastes.
Felicia: This is a sugar bomb. Not really sure what the main flavor is because it just tasted like sugar. Pretty presentation though.
Allyson: I don’t like Ginger Beer and that’s all I could taste here. But it’s a good size and comes in a nice cup just like a Moscow Mule.
