Best Table Service restaurants at Disney World

Best Table Service restaurants at Disney World

Some may think that rides, shows, and character greetings are truly the main attraction of a Disney World vacation, but for many of us, it’s the food.

Whether you’re dreaming of drinking a mimosa in Cinderella Castle to start your day at the Magic Kingdom or grabbing some of the best pizza you’ve ever had at Via Napoli at Epcot, there’s so much to love about Disney dining.

Garden Grill

Among all the restaurants on property, there is so much variety to be found. Some Table Service restaurants are more casual, while others involve hanging out with characters. And then, there’s Disney’s Signature dining, offering the best of the best when it comes to food and service, perfect for a fancier, more elevated experience (yes, even at a theme park).

But with dozens of sit down restaurants between the theme parks, Disney Springs, and resort hotels, figuring out where you want to eat during your vacation can be a really big task, especially if you’re planning to make those dining reservations 60 days in advance to make sure you’re able to snag a spot at even the most popular eateries. How do you ever choose?

Good news: We are here to help. Read on for our recommendations of the best Table Service restaurants at Disney World. Those dining reservations aren’t going to book themselves!

About Table Service Dining

Table Service dining is the term that Disney uses for a sit down restaurant — you can expect to be seated by a Cast Member and waited on by a server throughout your meal.

Most of the Table Service restaurants at Disney have casual vibes, and whatever you wore to the park that day will be perfect attire for your meal. Some of Disney’s Signature Dining locations may have a dress code, though, so it’s important to check the website (or your My Disney Experience app) before you go.

It’s also important to note that Table Service locations are the only restaurants you’ll be able to order alcohol in the Magic Kingdom, though cocktails, beer, and wine are readily available throughout the other three theme parks.

Booking reservations as early as possible will be key to having the dining experiences you’re hoping for during your trip. If you have reservations to stay at a Disney resort, you can make your selections starting 60 days before your arrival day for your entire stay (up to a total of 10 nights). This can give you a slight advantage over other guests, who can only book 60 days in advance, one day at a time.

You can make your reservations through the Disney website or the My Disney Experience app. When it comes to the most popular spots, timing is crucial; reservations can go fast, especially for character dining.

If you’re hoping to dine somewhere that’s in high demand, you’ll want to be ready to book at 6:00 a.m. on the day you hit that 60-day mark for your best chances of snagging the restaurant and time you want. If luck isn’t on your side on booking day, keep checking back — reservations can and do open up all the time.

Most Table Service restaurants on Disney property do participate in the Disney Dining Plan. If you plan to use it, you’ll want to check out the best Table Service Dining Plan Values to be sure you’re maximizing your credits.

These are our favorite Table Service dining locations at Disney World.

Other Magic Kingdom Table Service Restaurants

  • Be Our Guest: Themed after Beauty and the Beast, Be Our Guest serves a prix menu for both lunch and dinner. This is on the pricier side and the food is usually more of a miss than a hit, but dining inside the Beast’s castle may be enough to sway fans of Belle.
  • The Diamond Horseshoe: The Diamond Horseshoe serves the same menu as Liberty Tree Tavern without the detailed theming. It might be worth checking out if you are interested in Liberty Tree Tavern’s menu but cannot get reservations.
  • The Plaza Restaurant: This restaurant on Main Street U.S.A. is known for its ice cream and milkshakes, along with comfort foods like meatloaf, burgers, and pot roast.

Still, like everywhere else in Epcot, kids are welcome here, and the kids’ menu includes Grilled Chicken or Steak with Gravy, seared salmon, and macaroni and cheese.

  • Is it kid-friendly? While this is a signature dining restaurant, it’s still filled with families and kids of all ages, wearing theme park attire — just with a fancier menu. The kids’ entrées include grilled chicken breast, grilled beef filet, macaroni and cheese, grilled seasonal fish, and a hot dog, with sides like baked potato chips, mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables.

In that department, you’ll find options like Butter Chicken, Tamarind-braised Short Rib, and Braai-spiced Veal. The coffee, tea, and alcohol menus here are not to be missed, either. Allergy-friendly menus are available, and plant-based items are on the regular menu, like the Szechuan Noodles.

  • What it’s known for: Cheddar Cheese Drop Biscuits, Art’s Famous Fried Chicken

However, there aren’t many plant-based options here, and guests with allergies are asked to speak with their server when they order.

There is a vegan option on the menu, a plant-based shepherd’s pie. Those with food allergies should speak with a Cast Member when ordering.
