When it comes to visiting Walt Disney World, there’s one thing that many of us look forward to more than the attractions and meeting our favorite characters — the food, of course.

Though there’s nothing like sitting down at a nice Table Service restaurant, reservations can sometimes be hard to snag… and other times, you can end up spending valuable park time dining and miss out on a ride you really wanted to check out.

This is where Quick Service restaurants come in, and at Magic Kingdom, they’re especially plentiful.

While there are a lot of great options, not all Quick Service restaurants are created equally, and we are definitely guilty of playing favorites here.

What is a Quick Service Restaurant?

Quick Service restaurants — which are also called Counter Service restaurants — are dining locations where you walk up to the counter (or use the My Disney Experience app) to order your food, rather than sitting down and having a server take your order.

Counter Service restaurants are often much more cost effective than Table Service restaurants, and many of them have wide ranging menus with plenty of meal and snack options, some that you won’t find at any other eatery in Disney World.

Can I Buy Alcohol at a Magic Kingdom Quick Service Restaurant?

One of the biggest differences in Quick Service restaurants vs. Table Service restaurants at Magic Kingdom is the fact that you cannot purchase alcohol at a Quick Service restaurant.

Options like beer, wine, and certain cocktails are only available in the sit-down restaurants, and even that is a pretty recent change. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some seriously yummy, alcohol-free options to be served here if you’re looking for something a bit fancier than soda or water.

Best Quick Service Restaurants at Magic Kingdom

We dive into all of the Quick Service restaurants at Magic Kingdom further down, but before we get to those (and their menus, among other important details), in our opinion these are the best Quick Service restaurants at Magic Kingdom.

While the park certainly isn’t known for it’s food (it’s no Epcot or Animal Kingdom), you can still find some food wins here and there.

These are all of the Quick Service restaurants available at Magic Kingdom, where you can find a full meal to enjoy for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or some combination of the three.

Adventureland

Tortuga Tavern

• Why is it popular? Tortuga Tavern is the closet Quick Service spot to attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise, and usually has plentiful seating options.
• What it’s known for: The Desert Pear Slushie, which can be a yummy treat on a hot day (and a solid substitute for Violet Lemonade when it’s not Flower & Garden Festival season).
• How big is the menu? The menu here is pretty small. The only truly basic item here is the all-beef hot dog; other offerings include a Veranda Teriyaki Burger with red onion and grilled pineapple, and the Veranda Chicken Strips, which are “tossed in a sweet orange-soy glaze.”
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Currently, there aren’t any vegan options, and the only vegetarian option is the Peanut Butter, Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread, and Banana Sandwich.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? Between the Chocolate-Hazelnut spread and the soy ingredients used here, it might be better to steer clear for those with food allergies.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? There is no kids’ menu offered here, but even picky eaters will likely go for the all-beef hot dog.
• Seating options: There’s plentiful seating here. While the bulk of the seating offered is outdoors, most of it is covered, and there is an additional seating area inside.

Pinocchio Village Haus

• Why is it popular? It’s almost always easy to find somewhere to sit here, and the indoor seating offers a unique view inside of “it’s a small world”.
• What it’s known for: Flatbread pizzas
• How big is the menu? There are five different flatbread options, both with and without meat, along with other Italian offerings along with salads and chicken strips.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Yes, Plant-Based “Cheese” Pizza is the vegan option here.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? Yes. A gluten-free menu is available, along with menus to accommodate different allergies including soy, milk, nut, fish, shellfish, and egg allergies.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? A full kids’ menu is available that includes options like both cheese and pepperoni pizza, chicken strips, and a PB&J Uncrustable.
• Seating options: There is both indoor and outdoor seating here. Inside, you have the option of sitting upstairs and downstairs, and upstairs offers a balcony with an awesome view of Fantasyland from above.

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

• What it’s known for: Mexican food and its formerly beloved toppings bar
• How big is the menu? Massive — there are Mexican options including a Fajita Platter, various rice bowls, and tacos and nachos with beef, chicken, and pork carnitas; American options include burgers and salads, and there are even desserts.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Yes, the Veggie Rice Bowl, which is yellow rice topped with black beans, grilled peppers and onions, lettuce, tomato, and salsa is the vegan option here.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? Yes. A gluten-free menu is available, along with menus to accommodate different allergies including soy, milk, nut, fish, shellfish, and egg allergies.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? A full kids’ menu is available with options including a rice bowl made with either chicken, pork carnitas, or veggies, macaroni and cheese, a beef or chicken taco, or a cheeseburger.
• Seating options: There is both indoor and outdoor seating here. It does get very busy during meal times, making it hard to find a spot to sit, especially if you’re traveling with a large group.

Liberty Square

Columbia Harbour House

• What it’s known for: Lobster rolls
• How big is the menu? Several different seafood options are available here, including a couple of choices for those who would rather stick to foods found on land, like salad and chicken strips.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Yes, the Doom Burger — a plant-based crab cake sandwich served with french fries.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? Those with seafood and shellfish allergies will likely want to steer clear of Columbia Harbour House. But the restaurant does offer menus for those allergic to gluten, soy, milk, egg, soy, and nuts.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? The kids’ menu here is rather small. They can choose between fried or grilled shrimp, grilled salmon, or chicken strips.
• Seating options: This is a great choice for a hot day, since the restaurant’s seating is all indoors. You can choose to sit downstairs or upstairs, and may find that upstairs is quieter and less crowded.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café

• Why is it popular? Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café is mostly known for its entertainment: An animatronic alien inside the restaurant named Sonny Eclipse who dazzles guests with his music.
• What it’s known for: Burgers and other theme park basics
• How big is the menu? The menu isn’t huge, but it does include food that likely everyone in your party will eat. There are a few different burgers offered here, along with chicken sandwiches, salads, and chicken strips.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Yes, the Patty Melt, which is made with an Impossible Burger with swiss cheese, pickle slaw, and Asteroid Sauce (AKA Thousand Island dressing) on toast.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? Yes. A gluten-free menu is available, along with menus to accommodate different allergies including soy, milk, nut, fish, shellfish, and egg allergies.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? The kids’ menu is pretty small and basic — there are only three options, including chicken strips, macaroni and cheese, and a grilled chicken sandwich
• Seating options: There is seating both indoors and outdoors here. The most in demand seating area is in the same room with Sonny Eclipse, though, so may the odds be in your favor!

Casey’s Corner

• What it’s known for: Hot dogs and corn dog nuggets, and the Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade is definitely worth checking out.
• How big is the menu? Though there are several different varieties of hot dogs served here, that’s the only type of food on the menu, so if you’re not a fan of hot dogs, you might want to eat elsewhere.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Yes, there is both a Plant-Based Dog and a Plant-Based Loaded Slaw Dog.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? Those with food allergies may want to exercise caution here, and know that there are not gluten or allergy-free specific menus offered at Casey’s Corner.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? There is no kids’ menu offered here, but kids may enjoy the All-Beef Hot Dog or Corn Dog Nuggets.
• Seating options: There is a limited amount of seating indoors and outdoors, but it can be fun to have a picnic on the hub grass with a great view of Cinderella Castle. Be warned that before fireworks, this area becomes particularly crowded.

Quick Service Restaurants at Magic Kingdom That Serve Snacks

These Quick Service options at Magic Kingdom do not offer full meal options, but they do offer snacks (some big enough that they could serve as a meal, depending on how hungry you are).

While not listed, keep in mind that there are also many snack carts around the park that serve on-the-go-snacks, like popcorn, ice cream, and bottled beverages.

Adventureland

Sunshine Tree Terrace

• Why is it popular? It’s the home of the iconic Orange Bird, of course!
• What it’s known for: Dole Whip, specifically the Citrus Swirl, a mix of orange Dole Whip and vanilla soft serve ice cream.
• How big is the menu? There are only a few options here. Most of them are Dole Whip or ice cream, but they also serve Fried Pot Stickers, which can be a really yummy snack on the more filling side.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Yes, most Dole Whip flavors are vegan.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? All Dole Whip flavors are both gluten-free and dairy free, though the chocolate and vanilla soft serve ice cream here are both made with dairy.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? There is no kids’ menu offered here, but Dole Whip and ice cream are both typically hits with the little ones.
• Seating options: There is a limited amount of outdoor seating available here.

Aloha Isle

• What it’s known for: Dole Whip of all varieties
• How big is the menu? The menu here consists entirely of Dole Whip and related desserts, including Pineapple Upside-Down Cake.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Most Dole Whip flavors are vegan, but the vanilla and coconut flavors offered here contain dairy.

Prince Eric’s Village Market

• Why is it popular? This is a great place to grab a quick snack in Fantasyland.
• What it’s known for: The giant soft pretzels, which are served with beer cheese
• How big is the menu? This is just a cart (which is usually only open during heavy crowd days), so only a few options are on the menu here. You can grab a pretzel, a turkey leg, a pickle, or grapes, along with slushes in blue raspberry and Coca-Cola.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Your best bet would be the pickles or the grapes, but the menu is pretty slim.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? Fun fact: Turkey legs served at Disney World are gluten-free, so this is a great snack (or even meal — they’re huge) option for those who fall into that category.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? If your kiddo loves slushes and/or pretzels, they will likely be happy with a stop here.
• Seating options: There is no seating available here.

Gaston’s Tavern

• What it’s known for: Massive cinnamon rolls and LeFou’s Brew.
• How big is the menu? The menu here is pretty small, but let’s be honest: You came here for the cinnamon roll, so what more do you need?
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Interestingly enough, LeFou’s Brew is vegan! If you’ve never had it before, it’s a frozen apple slush with marshmallow flavoring, topped with passion fruit-mango foam, meant to look like a beer (but totally non-alcoholic).
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? LeFou’s Brew is gluten-free and dairy-free, too. Those with food allergies may want to ask a Cast Member before ordering other items from the menu.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? There is no kids’ menu here, but they may enjoy the Warm Cinnamon Roll and/or LeFou’s Brew, and there are also a couple of sandwich options served here that may make for an easy, quick lunch.
• Seating options: There is seating both indoors and outdoors here, but if you can snag a table inside, you’ll feel like you’re really eating at Gaston’s Tavern from Beauty and the Beast.

The Friar’s Nook

• Why is it popular? Located right in the middle of Fantasyland, this is a rare Quick Service restaurant that’s open for breakfast.
• What it’s known for: Creamy Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Tots
• How big is the menu? The menu is rather small here. For breakfast, you can grab a Breakfast Sandwich, which is bacon, egg, and cheese on a multigrain croissant served with tots, Sausage and Gravy Tots, or Cinnamon-Sugar Doughnuts. Lunch and dinner offerings include the mac and cheese tots along with plain tots, bratwurst, and hot dogs.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Yes, at lunch and dinner, the Plant-Based Bratwurst is served with a side of tots. You can also order the breakfast sandwich without bacon.

• Why is it popular? This is the most convenient place to stop for ice cream in Fantasyland.
• What it’s known for: Ice cream and Dole Whip desserts
• How big is the menu? There are a few dessert basics here, like soft-serve ice cream in either a cup or a cone, along with hot fudge sundaes and floats. Storybook Treats also features some super unique options, like the adorable Snow White Cone, which is Dole Whip Lemon served in a blue cone and topped with a chocolate bird and a sugar bow.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Dole Whip’s fruit flavors are vegan, and you may be able to order the lemon flavor separately here.

• Why is it popular? This is a great place to grab a quick snack or coffee as you enter Fantasyland from the hub.
• What it’s known for: Cheshire Cat Tail — a chocolate filled pastry shaped like a cat’s tail that’s topped with pink and purple icing.
• How big is the menu? Since this is more of a kiosk or walk-up counter, the menu here is pretty small. Aside from the Cheshire Cat Tail, you’ll also find a Pepper Jack Pretzel and the Merry Unbirthday Cupcake, along with coffee, tea, and Alice in Wonderland themed slushes.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? No vegan snack options are available here.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? This Quick Service restaurant doesn’t offer any allergy-friendly menus, so you may want to consult with a Cast Member before you order.

Golden Oak Outpost

• Why is it popular? This small stand can be an easy place to grab a snack or drink while you’re in the area and doesn’t always have a long line.
• What it’s known for: Chili Cheese Fries. The Sweet Tea Slushy is also very refreshing on a hot day (try it as is, or mixed with the Minute Maid Lemonade Slushy).
• How big is the menu? The menu is small, which makes sense, since this cart isn’t always open. You can choose from Loaded Chicken Strips, plain Chicken Strips, or Walt’s Chili Cheese Fries.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? None of the menu items offered here are plant-based or vegan.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? There are no dedicated allergy-free menus here, so ask a Cast Member before ordering.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? There’s no kids’ menu offered here, but the chicken strips and fries makes a good shareable meal.
• Seating options: There is a limited amount of outdoor seating, but you may be able to find somewhere to sit indoor across the way at Pecos Bill’s.

Westward Ho

• Why is it popular? This food cart can be faster for a snack or meal on the go than a more traditional Quick Service restaurant.
• What it’s known for: The Candied Bacon Skewer and Wendell’s Bear Claw
• How big is the menu? The menu here is very small. For breakfast, they offer a few options, including a breakfast sandwich and donut holes. At lunch or dinner, there are a few more options, including ones that might be a bit more filling, like Corn Dog Nuggets (bonus: you won’t have to wait in a long line at Casey’s!).
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? The only vegan option you’ll find here are potato chips, which obviously isn’t ideal for a meal but may work for a quick snack.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? This isn’t the most allergy-friendly location, and those with nut allergies should be especially cautious since the bear claw served here is topped with hazelnuts.

Liberty Square Market

• Why is it popular? This location can be a quick stop for a drink or small snack.
• What it’s known for: Disney World basics like Mickey Pretzels along with healthy snacks.
• How big is the menu? There aren’t a lot of options here, but you will find items like Mickey Pretzels, turkey legs, and hot dogs, along with drinks and fruit.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Mickey Pretzels are vegan (just in case you didn’t already know), and there are also a few different varieties of fruit to choose from.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? Turkey legs are gluten-free, and those with allergies will find luck with the fruit served here, though they may want to consult with a Cast Member before ordering.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? There’s no kids’ menu here, but slushes are served, along with a plain all-beef hot dog.
• Seating options: There is a decent-sized amount of outdoor seating available here, right in front of the Hall of Presidents.

Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies

• Why is it popular? It’s ice cream — need we say more?
• What it’s known for: Ice cream sundaes and ice cream floats
• How big is the menu? The menu here is pretty small, but there’s a good mix of classic ice cream desserts and more unique options that rotate seasonally, along with vanilla or chocolate soft-serve in a cup.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? The Strawberry Smoothie served here is plant-based.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? Those with allergies may not find a lot of options here, especially those who are allergic to dairy.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? There’s no kids’ menu here, but like we said before, this is ice cream we’re talking about!
• Seating options: There’s a small outdoor seating area available nearby. At the Merchant of Venus (attached to Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies), there are also several indoor tables.

Cool Ship

• Why is it popular? This kiosk serves basic snacks and, depending on the time of day, doesn’t usually have long lines.
• What it’s known for: Popcorn
• How big is the menu? The menu just includes many of the same treats you’ll find all over the parks (like popcorn, Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bars, and cotton candy), along with fountain drinks and bottled water.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? The Strawberry Fruit Bar and the Olaf Frozen Juice Bar are both vegan.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? You may want to consult with a Cast Member before ordering, especially since cinnamon-glazed nuts are served here.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? There’s no kids’ menu here, but there are a few different frozen treats to choose from, along with kid-friendly snacks like popcorn and cotton candy.

The Lunching Pad

• Why is it popular? This is one of the only places to grab a meal in Tomorrowland, including breakfast.
• What it’s known for: Specialty hot dogs and Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel
• How big is the menu? While you can grab classic favorites like a plain all-beef hot dog or a Mickey Pretzel here, you can also try something new — hot dogs with unique toppings are sold here, like the Queso Fundido Hot Dog, the Cuban Hot Dog, and the Banh Mi Hot Dog. There’s also a breakfast menu featuring Sticky Bubble Bread and a breakfast bowl.

• Are there kid-friendly options served here? There’s no kids’ menu here, but kids will likely enjoy the hot dogs, churros, and/or Mickey Pretzels that are served.
• Seating options: Seating is available outdoors, but it can be hard to find an available table, especially in the afternoons.

Joffrey’s

• Why is it popular? If you’re not into Starbucks, this is the coffee shop in Magic Kingdom. While it’s not listed as an official Quick Service spot in the My Disney Experience app or on the Disney World website, it’s still a very popular one.
• What it’s known for: A variety of hot, iced, and frozen coffee drinks and other specialty beverages. Plus, giant donuts that are a must!
• How big is the menu? The menu is mainly limited to beverages here (you can also order a variety of pastries and cookies), but you’ll find a variety of hot coffee, iced coffee, cold brew, and even caffeine free drinks here to fit anyone’s tastes. They also often offer a fun themed drink or two, based on the season or special events happening around the Magic Kingdom.
• Does it have vegetarian/vegan options? Many of the drinks can be made dairy free with alternatives including oat milk and almond milk.
• Are they allergy and gluten-free friendly? There’s no dedicated allergy-friendly menu here, so you may want to talk to a Cast Member before ordering.
• Are there kid-friendly options served here? There’s no kids’ menu here, and if you’re not prepared to hand your child a cup of coffee in the middle of Disney World, you have options! They usually serve at least one caffeine-free frappé style drink, along with cookies and donuts.

Energy Bytes

• Why is it popular? This is the newest snack stand in Magic Kingdom, located by TRON Lightcycle / Run.
• What it’s known for: Unique dumplings and desserts
• How big is the menu? The menu is pretty small, but it’s also where you’ll find the most unique food in the park. Dumplings in two different flavors (Beef and Broccoli and Buffalo Chicken) are the savory options, while those with a sweet tooth may enjoy the Strawberry Ice0form or the Chocolate Cake Doughnut Holes.
