We’re walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. and loving every single second.
There is no Magic Kingdom without Main Street. This land is the first place you see as you enter the most magical place on earth.
There’s also a lot of history on this street thanks to it being modeled after Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri. Plus, there are all kinds of hidden Easter eggs celebrating Imagineers.
While there aren’t any major attractions, besides the railroad, there’s plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment, including the parade and fireworks.
Here is everything you’ll encounter during your magical time on Main Street.

Dining
There are several Quick Service and Table Service options available on Main Street, including character dining.
Quick Service Restaurants
Casey’s Corner
Location type: Quick Service
Type of food: American
Meals Served: Lunch and dinner
- On the Disney Dining Plan? Yes, 1 quick service credit
- Is Mobile Order available? Yes
- Pros: Good place to grab various types of tasty hot dogs (including corn dog nuggets), ragtime pianist plays out front about once an hour beginning just after noon
- Cons: Very limited indoor seating (and the outside tables are often taken), limited menu, lines can be long
Casey’s Corner is one of the most popular Quick Service options for lunch and dinner at Magic Kingdom.
You can find a range of all-beef hot dogs with or without toppings. Some are even foot-long hot dogs. The corn dog nuggets are a fan favorite here, as well.
There are also a couple menu items for vegans and vegetarians, like the delicious Plant-Based Loaded Slaw Dog, which is a plant-based “sausage” topped with pickled slaw, barbecue vegan aïoli, and roasted corn relish served.
Seating can be very competitive and busy, but you can find outdoor tables with umbrellas. There are some tables inside, but they are limited.
Mobile Order is available, which we definitely recommend using due to Casey’s popularity.
Fun fact: every morning before Casey’s opens, Cast Members host the first pitch and sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” to welcome guests for the day.
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
Location type: Quick Service
Type of food: American
Meals Served: Snacks
- On the Disney Dining Plan? Yes, 1 quick service credit
- Is Mobile Order available? No
- Pros: Delicious hard-serve ice cream (won’t melt as quickly as the soft-serve available at most places), sundaes are a great use of a snack credit
- Cons: Limited seating available outdoors
If you’re looking to enjoy ice cream on Main Street while you stare at those gorgeous Cinderella Castle views, you’ll want to visit Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.
You can even order ice cream with chocolate Mickey ears! Ice cream doesn’t get cuter than this.
There is limited outdoor seating with umbrellas. Lines can grow here, especially while people wait for fireworks, so you’ll want to plan accordingly. Mobile Order is not offered.
Main Street Bakery
Location type: Quick Service
Type of food: Coffee and snacks
- On the Disney Dining Plan? Yes, 1 snack credit
- Is Mobile Order available? No
- Pros: Starbucks drinks and pastries, drinks are a great use of a snack credit (especially if you add extras to your drink)
- Cons: No indoor seating and often very busy
Main Street Bakery is known for being a busy spot thanks to this being Magic Kingdom’s only Starbucks location.
You will most likely have to stand in line here and Mobile Order is not available. You can find pastries, specialty baked goods, and coffee drinks.
Popcorn Cart
When you enter Main Street on the left (as you walk through the tunnel underneath the train station), you’ll immediately encounter a popcorn cart. You can also buy bottled beverages here.
Popcorn Cart
In the Hub area near the paths that lead to Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, you’ll find a popcorn cart that also sells ice cream and fountain drinks.
Pretzel Cart
The Hub area also has a cart that sells Mickey Pretzels and other items near the walkway that leads to Liberty Square.
Table Service Restaurants
The Crystal Palace
Location type: Character Dining
Type of food: American Buffet
Meals Served: Breakfast and snacks
- On the Disney Dining Plan? Yes, 1 table service credit
- Pros: This is a Winnie the Pooh and friends buffet character meal that has the benefit of having both good food and fun character interactions
- Cons: Can be a wait, even with reservations (which you almost always have to have to get in here)
Crystal Palace is a character dining spot on Main Street that serves buffet-style during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
You can, of course, also meet characters here, including Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore.
We highly suggest snagging a reservation here. While it’s not the most popular character dining location at Disney World, it can still get busy.
The Plaza Restaurant
Location type: Casual Dining
Type of food: American
Meals Served: Lunch and dinner
- On the Disney Dining Plan? Yes, 1 table service credit
- Pros: The least expensive Table Service restaurant in Magic Kingdom, you can order ice cream from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
- Cons: Service can be inconsistent, not a great use of a Table Service credit on the Disney Dining Plan
The Plaza Restaurant is located next to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Depending where you’re sitting, the restaurant has some pretty cool views of Cinderella Castle.
This is on the smaller side with only limited seating inside, but the casual dining atmosphere is nice and embodies the charm of Main Street U.S.A.
One of the perks of eating here is you can order ice cream from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.
Be sure to make dining reservations in advance, because this is yet another popular Table Service option.
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
Location type: Casual Dining
Type of food: American and Italian
Meals Served: Lunch and dinner
- On the Disney Dining Plan? Yes, 1 table service credit
- Pros: Lots of pasta options and cute Lady and the Tramp theme, outdoor patio seating has great views of the parade
- Cons: Mediocre food
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is one of several Table Service options at Magic Kingdom. It’s not our favorite and just has ok food.
But, if you like Italian and Lady and the Tramp, you may want to give a try.
You can find the restaurant near Town Square Theater. It also has great outdoor seating offering awesome views of the parade.
Reservations are accepted here, which we always recommend making when it comes to dining at Disney World.
Seating Areas
There are several places to take a break on Main Street.
There are tables outside Casey’s Corner with umbrellas:
Near Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and the Plaza Restaurant are more tables with umbrellas:
In the alley between Crystal Arts and Uptown Jewelers, there is a lovely secluded area with tables and chairs:
You can also sit on the grass in the Hub for some great views of the castle:
Near the train station, you’ll also find several benches. Town Square Theater even has some benches and rocking chairs on the porch that are perfect for people watching.
Shops
Main Street is lined with a variety of stores, including:
Box Office Gifts
Box Office Gifts is located inside the Town Square Theater. This is where you can purchase Disney PhotoPass photos and check in for Capture Your Moment sessions.
You can also find a range of Disney art pieces available for purchase.
Near Box Office Gifts are two portable phone charging stations, where you can swap and purchase FuelRods.
Curtain Call Collectibles
Curtain Call Collectibles is the gift shop that you exit into after meeting Mickey at Town Square Theater. You can also enter it without meeting Mickey.
There are all kinds of merchandise available for purchase, like apparel, ears, and more. If you want ears or hats embroidered, you can find a station here exactly for that.
Main Street Confectionery
You can’t beat the famous Main Street Confectionery.
This is modeled after an old-fashioned candy shop, where you can buy Disney-themed candy apples, Mickey krispie treats, and many more delicious snacks.
One of the best parts is being able to watch the bakers make these creations!
There’s also a section where you can create your own popcorn and add different toppings, like candy.
Tip: You can Mobile Order select menu items at Main Street Confectionery. If you don’t want to stand in line or avoid the crowds in the store, this is a great option.
Emporium
The Emporium is the gift shop to explore at Magic Kingdom. After all, it is the largest souvenir store in the park.
You can find all kinds of Disney souvenirs, including coffee mugs, home and kitchen accessories, apparel, plushes, and so much more.
Did you even really visit Magic Kingdom if you didn’t walk through the Emporium?
Disney Clothiers
Disney Clothiers is connected to the Emporium. One store leads into the next. The two shops basically create one massive shopping experience.
There are a variety of souvenirs for sale, including shirts, sweatshirts, hats, Mickey ears, and more.
Crystal Arts
Crystal Arts is a beautiful shop that has gorgeous crystal and glassware, including cut crystal, blown glass, and crystal figurines.
While on the more expensive side for souvenirs, it’s always fun to walk through and see what stunning items are on display.
Uptown Jewelers
Uptown Jewelers is on the corner next to the alley across from Crystal Arts.
This is the place to shop if you’re looking for gems and charms of the Disney Parks Collection by pandora, along with Dooney and Bourke handbags, watches, Disney figurines, and artist sketches.
Main Street Cinema
The Main Street Cinema is a small store that connects to both Uptown Jewelers and Main Street Confectionery.
You can shop for different keepsakes. During the 50th anniversary celebration, you could find the Vault Collection here.
Silhouette Cart
In the alley off Main Street between Uptown Jewelers and Crystal Arts, there is a cart where you can purchase silhouettes.
This makes for a unique souvenir and a fun activity. You can even have your silhouette framed!
Attractions
You can find two attractions on Main Street.
WDW Railroad – Main Street, U.S.A Station
A steam train that takes guests on a loop around all of Magic Kingdom. There are 3 stops – at the end of Main Street, in Fantasyland (back by Storybook Circus), and in Frontierland between Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
The Walt Disney World Railroad has a station located on Main Street U.S.A. You can’t miss the station, since it’s the first thing you see as soon you scan into the park.
We recommend everyone ride the train. It’s an iconic attraction, with great views of the park and is also a good transportation method if you want to get to one side of the park to the next.
Main Street Vehicles
You’ll encounter a vintage horse-drawn trolley, omnibus, jitney, or fire engine that give guests rides up and down Main Street.
These aren’t always in operation, including during parade times. The best time to try to hop on one is first thing in the morning.
Entertainment
Parades and cavalcades can be seen from Main Street, as they make their way from Frontierland.
Festival of Fantasy Parade
Of course, there is also Happily Ever After, nighttime entertainment with fireworks and projections that happen on the castle and down Main Street.
Happily Ever After
Happily Ever After is not to be missed. It’s a fantastic show, with an amazing soundtrack, stunning imagery, and the chance to see Tinker Bell fly.
You should definitely grab a spot no less than 60 minutes before showtime.
There are also several smaller forms of entertainment that occur daily on Main Street. You can find times and locations in the My Disney Experience app.
These include:
Casey Corner’s Pianist
- A talented piano plays familiar songs outside the Quick Service restaurant.
The Dapper Dans
- An iconic barbershop quartet who sings in harmony, tap dance, and tells jokes.
Main Street Philharmonic
- Hear the legendary marching band playing songs from classic Disney films, plus ragtime and swing standards.
The Flag Retreat
- This occurs once daily, usually around 5 p.m., where you can watch the American flag retire for the night during a patriotic ceremony at the flagpole in town square.
Characters
You can meet two characters on Main Street. These are both traditional meet and greets. You can take photos and have them sign autographs.
Snow White
Mickey Mouse
Activities
Coin Press
There are many pressed penny machines on Main Street, including:
- Disney Clothiers: purchase 1 for $1.00 or all 8 for $5.00; coins feature the Sensational Six, but as babies!
- Emporium: buy 1 for $1.00 or all 8 for $5.00; feature classic Disney characters

Harmony Barber Shop
Did you know you can get a haircut on Main Street?
The Harmony Barber shop is where guests of all ages can get a haircut! Prices vary by service and reservations are accepted (and recommended).
City Hall
Not only does City Hall serve as an in-park Guest Services location, but you can also find complimentary celebration buttons here for birthdays, anniversaries, first visits, and other special events.
PhotoPass
There are a lot of PhotoPass options on Main Street, because it’s such a great photo spot thanks to Cinderella Castle.
Magic Kingdom Entrance
There’s a PhotoPass in front of the train station at the main entrance right after you scan into the park.
Town Square by the Flagpole
There’s another PhotoPass photographer near the flagpole. Here you can take a photo with Roy O. Disney and Minnie Mouse on a bench.
During the holidays and at Halloween, special decor replaces the bench. This makes for a great seasonal photo spot.
Middle of Main Street
You’ll also find several in the middle of Main Street.
Partners Statue
There’s another one in front of the Partners Statue, which is a very popular spot.
East and West Plaza Gardens
Near each spot of Hub grass (on the east and west sides), you can usually find more photographers.
Super Zoom Magic Shot
You can also spot another one in the Hub grass towards Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. This is a special PhotoPass, as it’s a Super Zoom Magic Shot.
This Super Zoom shot is a video, but here are still images of what the video entails. First, the camera is zoomed in on where you’re standing.
Then, the camera zooms out and you get a gorgeous view of Cinderella Castle and the Hub.
The camera then zooms back into the same shot of you at the start of the video.
Remember: unless you have Memory Maker, Memory Maker Day One, or a PhotoPass entitlement with your Annual Pass, you will have to pay to download or print these photos.
Restrooms
Main Street has a few restrooms you can use, including:
There are restrooms between City Hall and the Fire Station.
In the Town Square Theater next to Tony’s Town Square Restaurant, you can find another set of bathrooms.
Near Crystal Palace, Casey’s Corner, and the First Aid and Baby Care Center, are restrooms tucked back into a corner.
Finally, there are more bathrooms outside the Tomorrowland Terrace and near the Plaza Restaurant.
Magic Kingdom Entrance
While not technically a part of Main Street, there are a few things at the entrance of Magic Kingdom we feel are important to mention.
Guest Services
Outside the turnstiles where you scan into the park, you can find Guest Services for those who need assistance with tickets and other issues.
Restrooms
You can find a set of restrooms next to Guest Services.
Wheelchair Rentals
Wheelchairs can be rented before you step onto Main Street.
Locker Rentals
Locker rentals are next to the wheelchair rentals.
Stroller Rentals
If you enter Main Street via the tunnel on the right next to wheelchair and locker rentals, you’ll find stroller rentals underneath here.
Designated Smoking Area
Near the bus stops, you’ll find a designated smoking area.
This is the only smoking area at Magic Kingdom. Like all of the other theme parks at Disney World, there are no longer smoking areas inside the parks. They can only be found outside park entrances.
