What to Expect when you Watch
The Lightning Lane entrance is on the opposite side of the theater from the standard queue. Guests line up in an open-air queue before making their way to the waiting area.
Before the theater doors open, make sure you watch the funny pre-show on the screens above. From there, the audience is seated in an enclosed and air-conditioned theater for the sing-along.
Since you are seated in a theater for this experience, those in wheelchairs and ECVs may remain in them. Guests using wheelchairs and ECVs will be seated in a special area of the theater.
Handheld captioning, assistive listening, and video captioning is available for guests.
In the Show
If you prefer to experience For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration without spoilers, make sure you skip over this section!
Guests are welcomed to the show by Princess Anna, who introduces everyone to the Arendelle Royal Historians. There is a festival happening in Arendelle, but Elsa is missing! So Anna goes to find her sister, leaving the historians to recount the story of the kingdom to the crowd.
They start from the beginning of the first film, 2013’s Frozen. As they narrate the story, songs from the movie play on the large screens behind the historians with lyrics included at the bottom so you can sing-along!
Fan favorites like, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”, “For the First Time in Forever”, “Love is an Open Door”, and “Let it Go” play, before Kristoff makes an appearance, then he too heads off to meet up with Anna.
And this Frozen sing-along wouldn’t be complete without Olaf’s anthem, “In Summer.”
The historians then speed through the rest of the film’s plot before Anna and Kristoff enter with Elsa still missing.
But on the screen behind them, it begins to snow in the kingdom, a blizzard roars and on the side of the stage Elsa appears.
After a tender moment between the two sisters, the Royal Historians tell Queen Elsa that the audience has done a wonderful job singing along. Queen Elsa commends them, as well as the historians, before leading everyone in a finale of “Let it Go.”
The cast bids the audience good bye. Elsa casts a spell above the auditorium and “snow” falls from overhead.
