  • Recommended FastPass+ for characters: Rapunzel at Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom (Cinderella is easier to meet other places), Ariel (meet her early or use FastPass+), unique character options exclusive to FastPass+ that will be coming in 2014 (Winnie the Pooh and Tigger in Epcot, Minnie at Hollywood Studios, Character Landing at Animal Kingdom)

Quick tip of the day

Lots of people ask if they should use online check-in when staying at Disney Resorts. This is an option 60 days before your trip begins. I recommend doing it to save time at check-in unless you want to ask for a room upgrade.

My daughter is Tinker NUTS - first stop at all Disneyland trips is Pixie Hollow, as soon as it opens. My question - in the Magic Kingdom, is a FP+ a good idea to meet the Fairies? Or not necessary?

I thought Pixie Hollow was closed? It wasn't there when we went in June 2013.

Ok... So Fastpass+ is a Great concept.. but its going to be very frustrating if they are out before you get to a park… also our magic bands only worked half the time. We spent a lot of time at guest services and very little time enjoying the park and actually missed one of our reservations for my wife’s fathers birthday because of the bands, and our key to the world card being refused at the gate.

I know it sounds like I had a Horrible time but I don’t want to scare any of your readers it was my son and I first visit to Disney world and I can’t wait to make more memories . We had a blast and your Help and trip tips really did make it a Special time, so Thanks.

All in all the Fastpass+ and the Magic band are great concept but have a lot of kinks to work out.

What all princesses might you see during Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Breakfast?

When we were at the princess dinner at the Akershus Banquet Hall with my four year old granddaughter in January 2012 Belle was the princess she had her picture taken with before we were seated. During the dinner Aurora, Ariel, Snow White and Cinderella visited our table. They all posed for as many pictures we wanted to take and they all interacted with my granddaughter.

Ok I have some questions...They are really for you and Kenny but I thought this might be the best place. Are any of the characters that either of you think will be considered a 'headliner' for the new fastpass+ system? I am a little irritated by the prospect of a headliner and two lower ones because with three little kiddos under 5 Splash Mountain isn't going to happen thus 'wasting' a fastpass. So that would actually be helpful for us if some of these are considered headliners (well in my naivety I think at least)

Also, Kenny suggested doing fastpass+ for Rapunzel, if we do that would be able to see any of the inside of the Hall? I thought I understood from his posts that you didn't really see any of that and in planning for my family I actually look at which fastpass+ rides have interactive ques. If they have one I am less likely to use it because there are things for my kids to do that are just as fun. I know the hall isn't exactly an interactive que but there were so many things that I thought a 20-30 minute wait might not be that bad...

I would also like to add that when we go on our next trip if I actually saw Kenny and met him and I think that might be a highlight for me!
