What's coming in late 2023 and early 2024 - PREP 376

Shannon shares personal updates and highlights what to expect from Walt Disney World for the rest 2023 and the beginning of 2024.

New Things in Shannon’s Life

Shannon’s daughter has two children, her first is about to be 2 on October first and her second was born on July 4. She cannot wait to take them on their first Disneyland trip!

The two year old has a lot of great interests and is just going to LOVE Disneyland!

Shannon also recently got married! She bought a house in the Fort Worth area.

Shannon had unexpected surgery which means she hasn’t been to Disney World since April – the longest break in 10 years!

New Things at Disney World

Figment Meet and Greet started in Epcot. This started on September 10th.

Mirabel began meeting on September 15th in the previous area for Merida in Magic Kingdom. Bruno can also be seen in the Adventures Cavelcade.

Parking lot trams are back at all the theme parks. It’s very exciting to have these back to help make it easier to get to and from your car in the parking lots. (Don’t forget about preferred parking!)

Journey of Water inspired by Moana opens on October 16th at Epcot. There will also be a Moana Meet and Greet at Epcot. Moana first met at Hollywood Studios, then she was only available during Halloween and Christmas parties, and most recently she has been at Animal Kingdom.

Epcot’s World Celebration area is opening soon. This means that the walls will be coming down soon!

Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom will be getting the Hatbox Ghost in November.

Luminous the Symphony of Us will be coming to Epcot on December 5. This is exciting because we weren’t big fans of Epcot Forever.

Things coming in 2024

Prices were released in May and are very high. When the prices are released for hotels, they don’t change the rack rates for the rooms. They just release the prices and then release promotions as needed. Be sure to look for promotions.

The Disney Dining Plan is coming back in 2024. There will also be changes for Genie+ but we do not know what those are at this point.

Country Bears Jamboree will be revamped
New offering of Star Tours in the Spring of 2024
