If you’re both a fan of runDisney and Simba, you’re going to like this news. The runDisney 2021 summer virtual series is themed after The Lion King, Disney announced on Monday, April 5.
With a virtual event, this means you race from wherever you like and whenever you want! When you register, you can also download a themed-bib and at-home-kit that will include a start line, finish line, and mile markers.
Important: Registration opens Thursday, April 8 at 10 a.m. EST on runDisney.com.
Here are the races you can register for, the medals you’ll receive, along with other important details. All of the races have a completion timeframe beginning April 8 through Aug. 31, 2021.
runDisney Virtual 5K, aka “The Timeless Classic”
Registration Fee: $40
Participants will receive the following:
- Commemorative Finisher Medal
- Downloadable Race Bib
- Downloadable Finisher Certificate
runDisney Virtual 5K, aka “The Broadway Phenomenon”
Registration Fee: $40
Participants will receive the following:
- Commemorative Finisher Medal
- Downloadable Race Bib
- Downloadable Finisher Certificate
runDisney Virtual 5K, aka “The Reimagined Classic”
Registration Fee: $40
Participants will receive the following:
- Commemorative Finisher Medal
- Downloadable Race Bib
- Downloadable Finisher Certificate
runDisney Virtual Series Challenge
Registration Fee: $145 (includes all three virtual 5K events)
It’s also important to note that you must register for the runDisney Virtual Challenge to be eligible for the Challenge medal.
