Scheduling an appointment for a haircut may not be the first thing that comes to your mind when planning a vacation. However, in the heart of Magic Kingdom is a special place for young and old to have a quick trim.
How do you get a reservation for Harmony Barber Shop?
The most convenient way to make a reservation is through the Walt Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app. You can browse available times and dates, and book directly online that way.
Reservations for Harmony Barber Shop can typically be made up to 60 days in advance. The Harmony Barber Shop is quite popular, especially for “First Haircut” experiences, so early booking is advised to secure your desired time and date.

Are walk-in appointments available?
While walk-ins are sometimes accepted, they’re subject to availability and can be rare, especially during busy times. Having a reservation is the best way to ensure you get an appointment.
If you do want to check on a walk-up reservation, we recommend checking in at the shop right when they open.
Where is the Harmony Barber Shop?
Harmony Barber Shop is located on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. It’s across from the fire station and tucked away next to the Emporium. To access it, you will need park admission to Magic Kingdom.
What services does Harmony Barber Shop provide?
The cast members at Harmony Barber Shop are licensed cosmetologists. So, they can cut your hair as well as style it. They don’t have the materials, space, or time to do full salon services like a color or perm. But they will cut hair for all ages, as well as trim beards.
You choose from the following:
- Child’s Haircut (for ages 9 and younger): Haircut and simple styling with spray
- My First Haircut: Haircut, commemorative Mickey ears hat, keepsake lock of hair, official milestone certificate
- Adult Haircut: Haircut and simple styling with spray
- Beard Trim: Trim the beard
Important: they will often use water in a spray bottle to aid in the trim, but they do not offer shampooing. Therefore, arriving with clean, dry hair is requested.
PhotoPass photographers are not regularly available. (Although sometimes one might pop in, it’s best to plan to take your own pictures.)
Harmony Barber Shop prices
As far as Disney pricing goes, this is one of the most reasonable experiences. The Child’s Haircut starts at $20, My First Haircut starts at $28, Adult Haircut starts at $21, and a Beard Trim starts at $8. Payment for these services can be made with cash, credit card, Disney gift card or charged to your Magic Band.
Important to note, gratuity is not included and can only be given in cash.
Much like dining reservations, you must put a credit card on file when making a reservation online for Harmony Barber Shop. Your card won’t be charged before your visit, but a $10 charge will be applied for no-shows or cancellations within one day of the reservation.

Hours for Harmony Barber Shop are posted online and in the My Disney Experience App. Typically, it is open from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. daily.

Harmony Barber Shop is part of what makes Walt Disney World special. This small area is brimming with nostalgia, cast members with decades of experience, and a chance to slow down.
We have stopped by on a whim for my husband to have a quick haircut and beard trim.
We also planned exactly 60 days in advance (after waiting four years!) for our daughter to have her first haircut in this special place. The pixie dust was icing on the cake for a sweet experience.
