Once you’ve decided where you’ll be each day of your trip, you can start to make some dining choices for each day.

Here’s what you need to know about dining at Disneyland…

Types of dining

Just like at Disney World, there are Quick Service and Table Service options available at Disneyland.

And just like at Disney World, the Table Service restaurants take reservations.

However, the timeline and availability is very different at Disneyland, with reservations being available up to 60 days ahead and most reservations being relatively easy to get (some even the same day).

Some of the more difficult dining options include:

  • Lamplight Lounge
  • Blue Bayou
  • Plaza Inn breakfast
  • Goofy’s Kitchen dinner
  • dessert parties

You’ll want to get those as far ahead as you can before they book up.

Reservations can be made online, using the Disneyland app, or by calling (714) 781-DINE. There is a credit card guarantee required and $10/person cancellation fee (just like at Disney World!).

Disneyland Dessert Party

Preferred Reservation Access for Disneyland hotel guests

Some restaurants at Disneyland hold back a limited number of spots for Disneyland hotel guests, so if you’ve had trouble snagging a reservation, be sure to call Disneyland reservations at 714-781-DINE and inquire about Preferred Reservation Access at these locations:

  • Blue Bayou Restaurant
  • Carthay Circle Restaurant
  • Catal Restaurant
  • Goofy’s Kitchen
  • La Brea Bakery Cafe
  • Napa Rose
  • Naples Ristorante e Bar
  • Plaza Inn
  • Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen
  • Tortilla Jo’s

Does Disneyland have a dining plan?

In the past, Disneyland has offered pre-paid dining plans and meal vouchers, but that is no longer an option.

Disneyland dining packages

There are, however, dining packages at Disneyland that allow you to combine a dining reservation with reserved viewing for a show or parade.

Details on those are in the dining articles linked below.

Mobile ordering

Just like at Disney World, many Quick Service locations at Disneyland have mobile ordering available.

You choose an arrival time, pick your food, and then go get it during your pickup time.

Annual Passholder and DVC discounts can be used with mobile ordering at Disneyland, and there are allergy-friendly menus available within the app.

Colorful outfits for Mickey and Minnie (do you like them better than the previous confetti version?), embellishments on Cinderella Castle, plus projections on the other park icons have been announced so far.

Was hoping for more, but I suspect they’ll be dripping the info out as they learn more about how things are going safety-wise.

What are your thoughts? Will you be making a trip for the 50th? We will!
