Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is one of five Value Resorts located on Walt Disney World property. It also has two sister hotels located nearby: Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. Being a Value Resort, All-Star Music is cheaper per night and doesn’t offer the same amenities as Moderate and Deluxe Resorts. But, it is still a popular resort, especially due to pricing.

Overview

All-Star Music is in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area. For a Value Resort, it’s a decent size and has different buildings with Family Suites, Standard Rooms, or Preferred Rooms.

If you want to be in closer proximity to the food court and transportation, then you may want to consider booking a Preferred Room.

These rooms cost more due to location, but they may be worth it for those who don’t want to walk far between their room and Melody Hall, the main building where the lobby, food court, gift store, and transportation is located.

As for the buildings, they are inspired by different genres of music, including Calypso, Jazz Inn, Rock Inn, Country Fair, and Broadway Hotel.

There are even large-sized, music-inspired icons outside of each building. The decor makes for great photos.

Here’s everything you need to know about All-Star Music.

Rooms And Bathrooms

There are three types of rooms to book at All-Star Music. You can either make reservations for a Standard Room, a Preferred Room, or a Family Suite.

Standard and Preferred rooms can sleep up to four adults and Family Suites can sleep up to 6 adults.

The standard amenities are included in the rooms, including a hairdryer, TV, free WiFi, a coffee maker, telephone, in-room safe, and an iron and ironing board. The Family Suites come with a few more amenities, like a microwave, 2 full bathrooms, and a kitchenette.

There are rooms that have been refurbished with plenty of outlets and USB ports.

The newly refurbished rooms have beds with space underneath for luggage, along with drawers, cubbies, and an open closet for other personal items. The remodeled bathrooms also have a lot of counter space and storage, as well.

Rooms that have yet to be refurbished are out-of-date, don’t have storage underneath the beds, and less storage.

Take note that some of the rooms also have a pull-down bed. You can remove the chairs from the table and pull down on the silver handles for access to another bed.

Here are the rooms you can book (the photos featured are of rooms prior to refurbishment):

  • Standard Room: Views of the Courtyard, Pool or Parking Area; 2 Double Beds
  • Preferred Room: Views of the Courtyard, Pool or Parking Area; Close to Melody Hall, Dining, Shopping and Transportation; 2 Double Beds

You can check out room layouts below.

Checking In And Out

When it comes to checking in and out, you have a few options: at the front desk, online through the official Walt Disney World website, or via the My Disney Experience app.

The front desk is located in the main lobby. Even though the front desk is there to assist guests, especially with checking in and checking out, all Disney World Resort guests are encouraged to check-in online or by using MDE.

All-Star Music Resort

  • Checking-In: After you check-in online or using the app, you’ll receive a room-ready notification via next. You can then use your MagicBand or MDE’s digital key feature to unlock your room door.
  • Checking-Out: Currently, guests will automatically be checked out of their rooms. But, if you have unresolved charges to your hotel folio, you’ll need to visit the front desk.

Note: Guests also have the option of to chat virtually with resort Cast Members via MDE for any assistance.

The lobby is located in Melody Hall, which is the main building. Melody Hall also houses Intermission Food Court, the arcade, and the gift store. Bus transportation is also located right outside.

Magical Express pickup is also outside the lobby. Resort Airline Check-In and luggage storage are right out front of the lobby for those who have checked out or are waiting to check in. (Be sure to check with the resort to see if airline check-in and luggage storage services are available.)

Parking

Parking is available. There is a standard $15 overnight self-parking fee (including tax) that is applied to guests’ hotel folio upon check-out. (If you made resort reservations before June 18, 2020 for an arrival in 2020, the parking fee is only $13 per night.)

Complimentary standard self-parking is available for non-resort guests exploring dining, shopping, entertainment, and other experiences during the day.

We also have a complete Walt Disney World parking guide you can browse.

This area has been drained since late October, and it will be closed at least through February. They’re doing refurbishment work during this time.

This is a pretty common (and one of the only) downside of traveling this time of year - more projects being done. A small price to pay to not sweat or battle busy crowds. 😰
