My Disneyland trip report – PREP074

My Disneyland trip report – PREP074

I’m just wrapping up a trip to Disneyland and wanted to tell you how it went, plus who I’d recommend going there instead of Disney World.

I’ve also got a quick tip submitted by a listener on getting character autographs without standing in line.

My Disneyland trip report

Hear about what we did, where we stayed, why I love Disneyland, and who I recommend it for.

Quick tip of the day

A listener named Shannon shared that she was able to get some character autographs by handing an item to a Cast Member at the character meet-and-greets which might come in handy in some situations and save some waiting time.

Has anyone out there tried the quick tip of the day in asking a Cast Member for just the autograph? It sounds like an awesome tip, almost too good to be true!

Good podcast but i completely disagree about magic bands and my magic+ simply from the standpoint of fast pass+ being terrible. We LOVED using the 'legacy' fast pass system at disneyland. We crushed the fastpass system at disneyland and DCA and spent almost no time in line during a busy time of year. That said, we skipped some 'classic' rides because they didnt offer fastpass - rides like storybook canal boats. (Magic bands however are nice... when they work. It'd be nice if you could combine the old fastpass system with the magic bands, basically just eliminate the paper aspect.) Also worth noting that the singles line at Radiator Springs Racers eliminates the need for a fastpass if you're ok riding solo. We went back to back on RSR about 5 times within maybe 30 minutes. Standby line was over an hour the entire time.
