7 ChatGPT uses for Disney World trips

7 ChatGPT uses for Disney World trips

AI is everywhere these days and being used in so many ways, including travel planning.

And while we don’t think you can do a lot of Disney World trip planning with AI just yet (turns out Disney World is even hard for AI to keep up with!), there are several things you can do.

General ChatGPT info

Before trusting advice you get from ChatGPT, be sure to verify that the info is accurate. Depending which version you’re using, the details could be a few years old and no longer accurate.

Your chances of getting correct info is higher if you’re using ChatGPT 4, but it can still miss sometimes and flat out make things up.

ChatGPT Prompts for Disney World

1. Find accounts to follow

Have a specific type of trip you want to take and wondering who to follow for that info?

You can use prompts to help you locate relevant resources.

Can you suggest some Instagram accounts to follow for vegan food at Disney World?

What are some podcasts or YouTube channels focused on Disney World with food allergies?

Can you recommend TikTok accounts to help me learn about doing Disney World with a child that’s on the spectrum?

2. Non-Disney suggestions

Outside of Disney World, there are many places to visit and things to do that you can get suggestions for.

Can you recommend lesser-known but fun things to do in Orlando?

What’s a hotel close to Disney World that has a lazy river?

Which beaches are closest to Disney World?

3. Social media suggestions

Planning to post pics from your trip? You can use prompts to help you come up with ideas.

Can you suggest 5 locations at Disney World for photos that are unique and not busy?

I like to take photos with my iPhone, and I’d like to improve my skills for taking photos during my Disney World trip. What kind of tips can you share?

Can you suggest a short, engaging caption for a picture of me standing in front of Cinderella Castle at sunset?

4. Transportation research

How can I get from MCO to Port Canaveral?

How can I get from Pop Century Resort to Universal Orlando?

Can you give me a road trip itinerary from Dallas to Orlando?

And if you have the paid option of ChatGPT, you can access GPTs for things like flight research. We’ve been long-time fans of Kayak which is an option, but there’s many other flight-related GPTs available as well.

5. Learn some history

Since history doesn’t require the most recent info the way that Lightning Lane passes do, it can often be a great way to use ChatGPT for accurate info.

What real castle is Cinderella Castle based on?

Where do the Polynesian Resort longhouses at Disney World get their names?

What real buildings are the countries of the Epcot world showcase modeled after?

6. Find content to prepare for your trip

The wait for your trip to begin is often a grueling one, so find some entertainment to keep you busy in the meantime.

Can you recommend Movies that are G rated that I can watch to prepare for a Disney World trip?

I’m going to Disney World and I’d like a Spotify playlist for songs to help me get prepared for my trip.

I need an instrumental playlist that I can listen to while I work to help me get excited for my Disney World trip.

FYI – you can use the PlaylistAI GPT to connect your Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, or Deezer account to create music playlists in your library.

7. Suggest related places to visit

Walt Disney World isn’t the only place to visit (there’s a whole world out there!). Use your Disney World faves to help you find other places to visit.

Based on my love of the Disney Skyliner, where else should I visit?

What are some destinations I should add to my travel bucket list based on my love for Disney’s Polynesian Resort?

Where else can I dine that would provide an experience like Takumi Tei at Disney World?

Why we wouldn’t use ChatGPT for planning entire Disney World trips (yet)

Noticeably missing from the list above? Prompts to generate a whole itinerary for a Disney World trip.

As avid ChatGPT fans, we have found ways to incorporate it as a virtual assistant in so many of our personal and professional tasks.

However, when it comes to Walt Disney World, we have found 2 main issues with ChatGPT:

  • Outdated references – so many of the answers it gives are about restaurants or dishes that no longer exist, the old FastPass+ system, etc.
  • Complexity of WDW trips – even something as savvy as AI can’t seem to understand how many aspects of Disney World work.

Try our Chatbot

Although ChatGPT often can’t help with specifics of Disney World planning, we are testing an AI-powered chatbot that’s been fed information from all of our content so you can ask it anything to get an answer.

Give it a try!

Interesting take on ChatGPT for Disney planning, but I'm not sold yet. Old school planning seems more reliable. Anyone else feel this way, or am I just stuck in the past?

Well, we certainly see a role for old school planning or else we'd be out of a job. 😂
