If meeting Mickey is on your Disney World To-Do List, you may not know that you’ll have lots of different options for when and where to meet him – including both traditional character meet and greets and character meals.
In this guide, we’ll show you where to find Mickey Mouse in each park, plus we’ll share exclusive tips for making the most of your visit and let you know all the important details like if Disney’s PhotoPass is available and what he’ll be wearing in each spot (he has a ton of costumes!).
Ready to go? Here’s where you can meet Mickey Mouse at Disney World!
Magic Kingdom
One of our favorite places to meet Mickey Mouse is at Magic Kingdom. There’s just something iconic about meeting him at the same park as the castle. Plus, his meet and greet here also has a Lightning Lane, so you can use Genie+ here if you want to skip the line.
At Magic Kingdom, you’ll find Mickey in his own meet-and-greet, in several shows, and even as the main character of an attraction:
Meet Magician Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater
At Magic Kingdom, the Mickey meet-and-greet can be found just inside the entrance (right after you go under the train station) in the Town Square Theater at the end of Main Street U.S.A.
Attractions and Entertainment
Aside from that meet-and-greet, you can also catch Mickey in the attraction Mickey’s Philharmagic plus you can see him in the Let the Magic Begin park opening show, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire castle stage show, and the Festival of Fantasy Parade:
See Mickey Mouse in Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire Stage Show
You can catch Mickey along with lots of his friends several times throughout the day on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle.
See Mickey Mouse in Let the Magic Begin
If you are staying onsite, you’ll likely already be positioned to go to Fantasyland or Tomorrowland for Early Theme Park Entry but if you find yourself in front of the castle at park opening, there is a little stage show that features Mickey and friends that happens right before they drop the ropes:
See Mickey Mouse in the Festival of Fantasy Parade
The Festival of Fantasy parade is gorgeous. The only bad thing about it is that it takes place in the heat of the day, but if you are lucky enough to catch it, make sure you keep your eye out for Mickey in the hot air balloon float!
Epcot
If you’ll be in Epcot, you’ll have a couple different spots to meet Mickey, including the chance to dine with him at a character meal:
Meet Mickey Mouse at the Exit of the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival
Currently at Epcot, Mickey is actually meeting with his gal Minnie. This spot doesn’t have a Lightning Lane, but he’ll be moving soon to a brand-new Mickey and Friends character spot at CommuniCore Hall when the final phase of the Epcot construction wraps up, and that new spot *WILL* have a Lightning Lane:
Dine with Farmer Mickey Mouse at Garden Grill
In addition to the traditional meet-and-greet, you can also meet Mickey if you dine at Garden Grill. We love this spot for character dining. Not only is the food fantastic, but the entire restaurant spins and the character costumes are adorable:
Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios has several fun spots where you can meet Mickey, an opportunity to dine with him, plus a couple of attractions themed entirely around the head cheese himself.
Meet Sorcerer Mickey at Red Carpet Dreams
If you’re looking for a traditional meet-and-greet, Red Carpet Dreams is your only option at Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, this spot doesn’t have a Lightning Lane, so the wait is Standby only:
Dine with Mickey at Hollywood and Vine
Mickey makes an appearance at Minnie’s Seasonal Dine at Hollywood and Vine. This is a unique spot, though, because his outfit here changes with the seasons:
Attractions and Entertainment
In addition to meeting and dining with Mickey Mouse, at Hollywood Studios you can also catch him headlining a couple of attractions.
Both Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and the Mickey Shorts Theater are totally Mickey Mouse themed. Plus, you can also see him (including Mickey as Sorcerer Mickey) in the nighttime spectacular, Fantasmic!
See Mickey Mouse and Sorcerer Mickey in Fantasmic!
Animal Kingdom
Of course, you can find a mouse at Animal Kingdom! Like Epcot, at Animal Kingdom you can both meet Mickey in a traditional meet and greet PLUS you can also dine with him at a character meal:
Meet Adventurer Mickey at Adventurers Outpost
Not only is this spot home to an adorable Mickey, you’ll be able to meet him alongside Minnie (which makes for cute pics!).
Dine with Safari Mickey at Tusker House
Tusker House is one of our favorite places to dine in all of Animal Kingdom because it has delicious food and adorable characters, like Safari Mickey.
Resorts
The resorts don’t typically have traditional character meet and greets, but there are several character meals where you can dine with Mickey and friends:
Dine with Chef Mickey at Chef Mickey’s
Is it loud? Yes. But are the characters cute? Also yes.
Dine with Hawaiian Mickey at ‘Ohana
If you are staying on the monorail, this breakfast is one of our most favorite ways to kick off a late-start day!
Dine with Painter Mickey at Topolino’s
Seriously – this meal is not only delicious, but it’s also home to our favorite costumes out of all the different outfits that Mickey wears.
Mickey Mouse at Special Events
There are a few special events throughout the year when Mickey is available for meet and greets:
Meet Mickey at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, Mickey meets in the same spot as during the day (Town Square Theater), but he wears a special Halloween outfit. You can also spot him in the Boo to You Parade, as well.
Meet Mickey at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Mickey also makes an appearance at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. You can see him in the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade as well as meet him at Town Square Theater, where he’s all decked out in his holiday finest.
Meet Mickey at Jollywood Nights
Jollywood Nights is a new event that takes place over at Hollywood Studios. The vibe here is totally vintage, and Mickey comes dressed to impress for the holidays in his fun holiday outfit:
What happened to Talking Mickey?
Talking Mickey Mouse was a special character experience at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, where guests could meet a version of Mickey that could blink, move his mouth, and speak directly to them.
Talking Mickey made his debut at Walt Disney World in 2011 at Magic Kingdom’s Town Square Theater and was a creepy beloved feature until May 2018 when the experience was discontinued.
It was a cool idea, especially for younger guests, as it allowed the interaction to be more personal in a way a non-speaking character can’t be. But, if we had to guess, we’d say that the cost and maintenance (not to mention the weight of the costume) all likely contributed to Mickey once again losing his voice.

Taking the family to Disney next summer and this is super helpful. Mickey’s everywhere! Got any tips for snagging a good spot at the parades? Kids are super excited.

Yay! Glad you found it helpful. The parade usually takes place in the heat of the day, so when I watch it I like to get into the shade up near the Train Station at the end of Main Street U.S.A.

Absolutely loved your guide, Heather! Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire stage show is a must-see. Caught it last spring and it was magical. Your tips are always spot on.
