Christmas at Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World has officially released hours for Christmas week at all four theme parks. These could change, but for right now here is what to expect beginning Sunday, Dec. 20 through Saturday, Dec. 27.

  • Magic Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Epcot: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Hollywood Studios: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Animal Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If that isn’t enough, some park hours have been extended at the end of October (specifically on Halloween) and throughout November, including for the week of Thanksgiving.

Allow us to point out that hours for Hollywood Studios remain the same with opening at 10 a.m. and closing at 7 p.m.. Yes, this applies through Christmas — at least for right now.

Here are all of the latest hour changes you need to know about.

Oct. 30 & Nov. 1

  • Magic Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Epcot: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Hollywood Studios: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Animal Kingdom: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Oct. 31

  • Magic Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Epcot: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Hollywood Studios: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Animal Kingdom: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Halloween at Magic Kingdom

Nov. 2-5

  • Magic Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Epcot: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (only hours that changed)
  • Hollywood Studios: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Animal Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nov. 6-21

  • Magic Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Epcot: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Hollywood Studios: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Animal Kingdom: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Nov. 22-28 (Nov. 26 is Thanksgiving)

  • Magic Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Epcot: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Hollywood Studios: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Animal Kingdom: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays

Nov. 29

  • Magic Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Epcot: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Hollywood Studios: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Animal Kingdom: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Nov. 30-Dec. 19

  • Magic Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Epcot: Noon to 9 p.m. (changes to 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Dec. 18 and 19)
  • Hollywood Studios: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Animal Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As we’ve seen, select park hours continue to be updated, especially on the weekends and during busier times of year.

With the WDW holiday season beginning on Nov. 6 and lasting through Dec. 30, it’s understandable why hours would be shifted a bit and even more so to accommodate anticipated crowds and the modified celebrations, like the nighttime projections on Cinderella Castle that are replacing the Dream Lights this year.

Just last Friday, Oct. 2, we reported that hours for two more weekends in October had been extended, in addition to more December hours being released.

Seeing as hours continue to shift, it’s important that you always check the calendar (either in My Disney Experience or on the official WDW website) prior to planning or heading to the parks to see if there are any changes. We, of course, will keep you in the loop as well.

I just got back from a five night stay at Coronado Springs and had the best time! Even though I went during the busy season I barely waited in any lines and was able to do everything I wanted!

Anybody else fall in love with the Hollywood Studi Anybody else fall in love with the Hollywood Studios decor and want to have these vintage Christmas ceramics at home? 🙋🏻‍♀️ Here’s how.

For original vintage pieces, search “Lefton Christmas ceramics” or “Napco Christmas ceramics.” These often run you $100+ and can usually be found on Etsy, eBay, and other resale stores.

For less expensive replicas, check out VermontCountryStore.com which has a small - but more affordable - collection, including the trio of candy cane girls.

They haven’t been appearing as reliably as Alice, Mary Poppins, Joy, and Winnie the Pooh, but be sure to be on the lookout when passing the Royal Sommerhus in Norway where they might just show up.

This is the Rivers of America - the water that surrounds Tom Sawyer Island and the location where the Liberty Square Riverboat is usually located.

This area has been drained since late October, and it will be closed at least through February. They’re doing refurbishment work during this time.

This is a pretty common (and one of the only) downside of traveling this time of year - more projects being done. A small price to pay to not sweat or battle busy crowds. 😰
