Select Rooms at Caribbean Beach Receiving “Under the Sea” Theme

Goodbye, pirates? Hello, mermaids?

That certainly seems to be the new approach Walt Disney World is taking for select rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

On Monday, October 3, Disney announced that a new theme is coming to some of the guest rooms at Caribbean Beach.

Per Disney, “…some of the resort rooms in the Trinidad area of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will be receiving a brand-new look and feel. These new rooms, which will include subtle nods to fan-favorite characters from under the sea, will accommodate more guests and feature updated finishings that can’t be found anywhere else at the resort.”

While they didn’t elaborate too much on details, we do know that the refurbishment in the Trinidad area is beginning on October 3, with the updated rooms slated for 2023.

As previously announced, the Pirate rooms at Caribbean Beach are being discontinued in 2023.

It certainly appears that the above is the new theme for the Pirate rooms, but Disney did not explicitly state as such.

We will definitely keep you in the loop as we learn more about these new “under the sea” rooms.
