In some more exciting Walt Disney World news, runDisney is returning with in-person races beginning in fall 2021.
There are four events to look forward to and they all offer virtual race options as well for those who feel more comfortable running at home or can’t make the in-person races.
It’s also important to note that runDisney Kids Adventures is replacing the runDisney kids events for each race weekend. These will also have a focus of health, fitness, and fun.
Here’s what else you need to know!
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend (Nov. 4-7, 2021)
- Races: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Disney Two Course Challenge (10K and Half Marathon)
- Registration: opens July 6, 2021 at 10 a.m. EST for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Members and July 13, 2021 at 10 a.m. EST for general registration
Disney Wine & Dine will showcase Disney villains and will even feature the post-race party at Epcot, which includes after-hours access for runners and their families during the International Food & Wine Festival.
The post-race party tickets are included in the half-marathon registration and also available for $89 per person for runners’ family and friends and runners of other weekend races.

- Half-Marathon: $215
- 10K: $135
- 5K: $95
- Kids Adventures: $30
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend (Jan. 5-9, 2022)
- Races: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, Goofy (Half-Marathon and Marathon), and Dopey (all four races)
- Registration: opens July 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. EST for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Members and July 27, 2021 at 10 a.m. EST for general registration
Marathon Weekend is themed for the 50th anniversary. Below is pricing:
- Dopey: $600
- Goofy: $390
- Marathon: $195
- Hal-Marathon: $195
- 10K: $135
- 5K: $95
- Kids Adventures: $30
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend (Feb. 24-27, 2022)
- Races: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Disney Two Course Challenge (10K and half marathon)
- Registration: opens Aug. 17, 2021 at 10 a.m. EST for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Members and Aug. 24, 2021 at 10 a.m. EST for general registration
The Princess Half Marathon Weekend has also added a brand new offering called “Disney Princess Sunrise Yoga,” which will be a yoga session led by a professional at Magic Kingdom in front of Cinderella Castle before the park opens to guests.

runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend (March 31-April 3, 2022)
Finally, there is the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend, which is replacing Star Wars Rival Run Weekend. More information is coming soon about this new race, so stay tuned!
