We know Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning to Walt Disney World for the 2022 fall season, but what’s happening at Disneyland?
As previously announced, Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party is returning to the Disneyland Resort.
But, on June 13, Disney revealed more details, including when tickets go on sale, pricing, and other Halloween information.
What makes Halloween so much fun at Disneyland is that most of the spooky offerings are available to all guests throughout the daytime and evenings (minus Oogie Boogie Bash).

Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort
This year’s Halloween fun at Disneyland commences September 2 and runs through October 31.
Oogie Boogie Bash 2022
This year, Oogie Boogie Bash, Disney California Adventure’s Halloween after hours party, will be held on 23 select nights beginning September 6 through October 31.
Parties start at 6 p.m. and run until 11 p.m. Mix-in begins at 3 p.m., meaning Oogie Boogie Bash ticket holders can enter DCA as early as 3 p.m.
Important: No theme park reservation is required for the park mix-in and event with your event ticket.

Ticket sale information:
- June 28 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PST) — a limited amount of Oogie Boogie Bash tickets go on pre-sale for Magic Key holders and members of D23 may begin to purchase tickets to their own exclusive 1-night special event
- June 30 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PST) — tickets to the events, except the D23 special event, go on sale to the general public
For D23 members purchasing tickets to the 1-night exclusive event:
- You must be a D23 Member (General or Gold) to purchase tickets. Guests of D23 Member ticket purchasers do not have to be D23 Members.
- For Guests of D23 Member ticket purchasers to gain entry to the event, the D23 Member must be present with them.
- D23 Member ticket purchasers and their Guests who do not attend the event forfeit their place as well as all experiences, benefits and gifts associated with the event.
- A limited number of tickets are available.
- D23 Members who do not bring their membership card and tickets may not be admitted to the event. Membership card may be physical or a digital membership card — found in the D23 app.
You’ll be able to purchase tickets online.
Important for D23 Members: D23 Members will need to sign in with their linked Disney account in order to purchase tickets. Guests who recently added a D23 Membership, or made changes to their account, may need to sign out and sign back in to their Disney account for the changes to be reflected.
Disneyland Park Halloween Events
Once again, guests visiting Disneyland Park will be able to enjoy all kinds of special Halloween fun, like:
- Limited-time treats
- Decorations
- Main Street U.S.A.’s famous giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin
- Haunted Mansion Holiday (the Nightmare Before Christmas attraction holiday overlay for Halloween and the holidays)
- Halloween Screams, a fireworks, projection and light show occurring at several different locations throughout the park, including Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, and in front of “it’s a small world”
Disney California Adventure Halloween Events
Of course, there are all kinds of exclusive Halloween happenings at DCA. Yes, this is in addition to Oogie Boogie Bash.
These include:
- DCA’s entrance will once again feature Oogie Boogie
- Cars Land’s Radiator Springs will become Radiator Screams, with the additions of amazing decor, Lightning McQueen, Mater, Cruz and Red greeting guests in their best “car-stumes,” and the chance to ride Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween
- Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! transforms into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, an exciting and spooky adventure filled with creepy creatures and thrilling drops
- On Buena Vista Street, Mickey and friends don old-fashioned Halloween styles, Carthay Circle Restaurant comes alive with Halloween magic, and a photo-op with a 10-foot-tall statue of the Headless Horseman
- Plaza de la Familia will also return September 2 through November 2, 2022, to celebrate the spirit of Día De Los Muertos with live entertainment, special foods, hands-on crafts, and interactive experiences
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
In Downtown Disney, guests can try Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, a family-friendly pumpkin scavenger hunt, from September 9 through October 31 for $9.99 plus tax at select merchandise locations.
Whether you choose to hunt for pumpkins or not, you can return your game board to a redemption location for a prize.

Where to Pick Up Your Prize:
There is a limit of 5 game board purchases per guests. Game boards are valid for redemption through November 6, 2022 or while surprise supplies last.
The official Disney Resort hotels at Disneyland will also see Halloween transformations in their lobbies.
