“When trying to book extra fastpasses later in the day, it’s often hard to get the same time for a while group. But you can search for fewer people and often find overlapping reservations. Sometimes even for the same time.
For instance: we were on our way to Animal Kingdom in the afternoon and wanted to do the Kilimanjaro Safaris, there were no FastPasses for four people. But there are plenty for one person all within 10-15 minutes of each other, since there is an hour to get to the fast pass after it starts we all had plenty of time to get there and ride as one group.”

My husband and I are WDW veterans. In January 2017 we became APs so we are constantly looking for travel deals so we can fly to Orlando as many times as possible. Like Dave we live in Des Moines, Iowa. It hurt my soul a little to hear that his family drove 3 hours to Kansas City to save money! I thought I would mention that Frontier Airlines offers a direct flight from Des Moines to Orlando between October and April. If you sign up for their Den Deals (a $50 a year subscription) you can save even more! Sometimes the flights are as cheap as $29 one way. Sign up for their emails to be the first to know about promotions. Also another great option is Allegiant Air. They fly direct from Des Moines to Sanford/Orlando airport. While there is no Magical Express transportation from the Sanford Airport it often times is cheaper for us to fly Allegiant and rent a car than to fly a major airline. Like every other sane person on Earth, we love a direct flight, but when flying home from Disney it is a must for us! Typically at the end of a trip we are so exhausted from park hopping and eating our weight in Mickey shaped slabs of sugar the last thing we want to do is get in a car and drive three hours home! And we don't even have kids! Both Allegiant and Frontier only fly certain days of the week which my not have worked for Dave's family because of parent teacher conferences, but I thought I would share a little bit of my knowledge to maybe help out another Iowa family that is ready to take the plunge and drink the Disney Kool-Aid.
