Well here is some exciting Disneyland nighttime entertainment news!
Disney Parks Blog finally announced on February 22 the return dates for Main Street Electrical Parade, Fantasmic!, Disneyland Forever, and World of Color.
Here is what’s returning and when:
- Main Street Electrical Parade (50th anniversary; available for a limited time): April 22, 2022 at Disneyland Park
- Disneyland Forever fireworks spectacular (available for a limited time): April 22, 2022 at Disneyland Park
- World of Color: April 22, 2022 at Disney California Adventure
- Fantasmic!: May 28, 2022 at Disneyland Park
When Main Street Electrical Parade returns, there will be some new elements to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Specifically, the grand finale will celebrate the theme of “togetherness” with 7 segments stretching 118 feet in length “making it one of the longest and grandest units in the parade’s 50-year history.”
Click on the image below for a better look at the grand finale.
If that isn’t enough, the Main Street Electrical Parade grand finale will see a different set of stylized scenes from classic and contemporary favorite stories, like Encanto, The Jungle Book, Raya and the Last Dragon, Aladdin, Coco, Mulan, Brave, The Princess and the Frog, and more.
Just look at how gorgeous this concept art of the Encanto segment is featuring Mirabel and Antonio!
As for the schedules, take note because the following is important.
Upon its return, Disneyland Forever will run weekends only (Friday through Sunday), with Mickey’s Mix Magic running during the week (Monday through Thursday) until late spring.
Then, Disneyland Forever will run nightly in the summer. World of Color and Fantasmic! will return to their regular schedules upon reopening.
We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop if or when more information is announced about Disneyland nighttime entertainment.
