Ready to begin…
You know exactly what that means – Happily Ever After is returning to Magic Kingdom on April 3, 2023!
Disney announced the official comeback date for the beloved nighttime spectacular on January 10. They also shared that when the show returns there will be “all-new projections down Main Street, U.S.A.”
Disney Enchantment will continue to be offered through April 2.
During the 2022 D23 Expo, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro opened the Disney Parks panel with the news that Happily Ever After would be returning in 2023.
He also noted that it wouldn’t exactly be the same, but that the music would return to be paired with an “updated nighttime spectacular.”
In other nighttime spectacular news, Harmonious’ final performance will be on April 2.
Disney previously shared at the D23 Expo last September that an all-new nighttime spectacular is planned to debut at Epcot later this year for Disney’s 100th anniversary celebration.
Before the new show launches, Disney will bring back Epcot Forever as an interim show starting April 3. And – yes, this means the barges are going away, as well.
Per Disney, “Epcot Forever is the perfect offering while our Entertainment team preps the Lagoon, including a phased removal of fireworks platforms following the final Harmonious performance on April 2.”
While we are fans of Harmonious and will be sad to see it go, along with its beautiful soundtrack, we can’t say the same for the barges.
