How can I walk between Epcot and Hollywood Studios?

One of the nice things about staying in an Epcot-area resort is the ability to walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Boat transportation is available, but can be slower, require long waits for the next boat, and sometimes they fill up during busy times. The trek between the parks is a brisk 15-minute walk. At Epcot, this path can be found by exiting the International Gateway (located near the UK pavilion), heading toward the Beach Club, then continuing toward the Swan/Dolphin, and then on to Hollywood Studios. If you're at Hollywood Studios, you can take the path along the water which will lead you toward Epcot. Not sure where to go or uncertain you're headed the right way? I have an 8:05 a.m. breakfast reservation at a resort. How do I get there?

Ever wonder how to get to an early morning (before the parks open) breakfast? The easiest and fastest way is going to be driving or using a taxi or Uber or Minnie Van. This is especially true if you’re going to an early morning reservation at a resort. Hands down. But, if those aren’t options for you, you can still get there via Disney transportation.

When will the Disney World gondolas (Disney Skyliner) be finished?

(Last updated: March 22, 2019) Disney already has fantastic transportation options to help get you and your family around the entire Walt Disney World Resort area. But soon, in addition to the buses and boats and monorails and Minnie Vans guests will have a brand new transportation option to use: gondolas! Yep. That's right - gondolas are coming to Disney World, but just where will they go and when will they be available?

Which Disney World resorts are on the monorail?

Disney World has many beautiful resorts and some of the most iconic of them reside along the Disney World monorail line. If you're looking to stay someplace with convenient access to Magic Kingdom (and Epcot), then one of the monorail resorts may be just what you are looking for. Disney World Monorail Resorts: Disney's Contemporary Resort Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Disney's Polynesian Village Resort   Why should you stay on the monorail? The main reason people choose to stay on the monorail is for the convenience, especially the convenience of getting to Magic Kingdom. If you are planning to spend most of your time at Magic Kingdom then a monorail resort might be for you. This is especially true if you use a stroller. The nice thing about the monorail is your little ones can stay in their stroller when riding the monorail unlike the buses where you have to fold your stroller up. Another advantage that the monorail resorts have are their amenities. Like the other Deluxe Category resorts, the monorail resorts offer some of the most amenities and extras of any the resorts. Disney's Grand Floridian has a spa and a 5 star restaurant (Victoria and Albert's).  All 3 of the resorts have character meals and you'll find several signature dining experiences in the monorail resorts, too. The grounds are lovely and lush and being on the monorail also means being along the water, where you'll find boats that can transport you to other areas of the Disney World resort (which is a nice perk!). So, while the monorail resorts are pricey, they do offer guests a lot in the form of convenience and amenities in return. So how do you pick which one is the best for your vacation? Thankfully, each resort has it's own pros and cons that should make narrowing down your choices a little bit easier. We talk all about those in our post on the Pros & Cons of Disney World Resorts.
