When do Halloween and Christmas party tickets go on sale?

QOTD Pattern option 3 SQUARE 4 - When do Halloween and Christmas party tickets go on sale? Every year people plan their vacations around 2 of the most popular events at the Walt Disney World Resort: the Halloween and Christmas parties at Magic Kingdom.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are family friendly extras that you can do if you find yourself traveling to the parks in the fall or early winter.

But, just when do the tickets to these popular events go on sale?

Shortly after Christmas, people start to pour over the internet looking for information on when they might expect news to come out about the next year's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parties.

The biggest clue of all is in the actual park hours themselves. Since the parties happen in the evening, it is a good bet that if Disney is showing Magic Kingdom as closing at 6 or 7 pm during the months of August - October, you can probably safely assume that a Halloween party will be happening that night.

The same holds true for November and December: if you see Magic Kingdom closing at 6 or 7 pm during those months, and Disney hasn't officially released party dates yet, you can go ahead and assume that those days will host Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in the evenings.

But when can you purchase the actual tickets themselves?

In recent years, Disney has been announcing party dates and opening up tickets for purchase in mid to late March or early April:

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party dates announced and tickets on sale:

2018 - March 19, 2018
2017 - April 6, 2017
2016 - March 23, 2016
2015 - February 25, 2015
2014 - May 5, 2014

One thing to note: when the tickets went on sale in 2018, initially you could only book via phone however we anticipate being able to book on the Disney World website sometime soon.
