2022 Epcot Food & Wine Festival Booths, Menus, and Reviews

2022 Epcot Food & Wine Festival Booths, Menus, and Reviews

The granddaddy of all the festivals at Epcot, the Food and Wine Festival is the most popular, the longest lasting (in 2022 it runs July 14 – November 19), and the one we used to avoid the most.

That’s right. Even though we “technically” visited Food & Wine plenty of times, we honestly kind of tried our best to avoid this ultra-popular festival while seemingly everyone else was pouring into Epcot and singing its praises.

But, after a long track record of low-key hating on the Food and Wine Festival, last year the four of us (Shannon, Heather, Allyson, & Felicia) decided to toss those silly old opinions aside and head to Walt Disney World to see what all that hype was about.

With Disney gift cards loaded on our phones, we set out to eat, drink, and most importantly review everything that was available. All. Of. It.

Did we like everything? Oh, heck no. I mean, some of it was really, really B-A-D.

But, did we have a lot of fun along the way? Yes. Yes, we did.

And guess what? This year we’re doing it all again.

In this article

How many booths are there in 2022?

There are a total of 29 Global Marketplaces this year, with 1 that is completely new and some not opening until August 11 (these were previously listed as opening on August 15).

There are also 4 additional locations serving exclusive festival offerings.

That’s a lot of food. And drinks. I mean, that is a *lot* of drinks, but we are nothing if not thorough. So, no need to twist our arms – we’ll be sure to give you our honest opinion on them all.

Epcot Food and Wine Festival Reviews

Every year, Disney brings back a large chunk of favorites while sprinkling in a few that are new.

We will have the 2022 reviews available shortly after the Food and Wine Festival kicks off on July 14, but until then, you can take a look back at what our highly cultured palate thought of the 2021 offerings.

Emile’s Fromage Montage

Don’t forget about Emile’s Fromage Montage, which is completely voluntary but also a fun activity, especially if you’re eating at all of the booths or love cheese!

If you decide to play, you’ll need to purchase 5 cheese dishes from the Global Marketplace options listed in the Festival Passport.

You can purchase any of the 5 listed here:

  • Crispy Barbecued Pork Rinds with Pimento Cheese – The Swanky Saucy Swine
  • Smoked Corned Beef with Crispy Potatoes, Cheese Curds, Pickled Onions and Beer-Cheese Fondue – Flavors from Fire
  • Crispy Paneer with Mango-Curry Ketchup – India
  • Schinkennudeln: Pasta Gratin with Ham, Onions and Cheese – Germany
  • Raclette (any) – The Alps
  • Griddled Cheese with Pistachios and Honey – Greece
  • Pão de Queijo: Brazilian Cheese Bread – Brazil
  • Canadian Cheddar and Bacon Soup served with a Pretzel Roll – Canada
  • Passion Fruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts (Available Beginning August 11) – Hawaiʻi
  • Mac & Cheese (any) (Available Beginning August 11) – Mac and Eats marketplace

You’ll also have to get a stamp in your Passport when you purchase each item. Once you’ve collected all 5 stamps, you can bring your passport to Shimmering Sips for a complimentary prize unique to the Food and Wine Festival.

You can complete this at your own leisure, but it must be finished before the festival concludes on November 19.

What time do the food booths open at the Food and Wine Festival?

Booths at the Food and Wine festival open at 11 am and typically close at the scheduled park closing time.

We have found, however, that there are times when booths run low on supplies, which might force some booths to close earlier than expected. And, we’ve also encountered instances where they have closed a bit before the fireworks started, too.

The main takeaway is that if there is something you really want, don’t wait until the very end of the day to try to get it.

Do I need an ID to purchase alcohol?

Yes. You will.

Even though MagicBands may make it seem like you can leave everything in the room, you’ll need an ID to purchase drinks at the Food and Wine Festival.

Traveling from outside the US? You’ll need to bring BOTH your passport and another form of government-issued photo identification from your country of origin.

The following forms of ID will be accepted as proof of age:

  • US state driver’s license (includes U.S. territories**)
  • US state ID (includes US territories**)
  • US military ID
  • Original passport
  • Copy of passport—either on paper or captured on a mobile device—along with a government-issued photo ID that verifies the person and birth date shown on the copy (a foreign driver’s license or ID card is not acceptable by itself; it must be presented with a copy of the passport)
  • NEXUS card issued by US Customs and Border Patrol (Canadian Guests only)

Another important thing to note is that for each purchase, it is a max of 2 alcoholic beverages per person. That means 1 person can’t wait in line to buy everything for a group of 3; you’d need at least 2 people to go through the line in that example.

Be sure to keep eyes on our Food & Wine guide for the latest festival information.
