We finally have an opening date for the highly-anticipated Drawn to Life, the Cirque du Soleil show coming to Disney Springs.
Disney announced on Aug. 17 that Drawn to Life is set to debut on Nov. 18, 2021.
Tickets go on sale to the general public starting on Aug. 20. You’ll be able to purchase them online starting at 7 a.m. EST.
Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can purchase tickets for Drawn to Life now through Aug. 19 before they go on sale to the general public.
Cirque Club members can also now purchase tickets for performances from Nov. 18 through Dec. 31, 2021.
Drawn to Life was originally scheduled to debut in spring 2020, but the ongoing pandemic has continued to delay its opening.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times that was published on April 21, Cirque Chief Executive Daniel Lamarre teased that the first-ever collaboration between Cirque du Soleil, Walt disney Animation Studios, and Walt Disney Imagineering “should be able to open sometime in the fall.”
Well, that definitely seems to be the case!
Drawn to Life tells the story about the love between a father and a daughter. The story draws inspiration from Disney’s 100-year heritage of animation.
As Disney describes it, “The family-friendly show brings timeless Disney stories and characters to life in an unforgettable way through the use of innovative design, acrobatic performances, dazzling choreography, musical scores, brand-new animation lovingly created by Disney Animation artists, and some extra touches of Disney magic.”
This is definitely exciting news. Be sure to watch the video above for a sneak-peek of what looks to be both an emotional and unforgettable show.
