After much anticipation, Disneyland Resort has finally announced some news about annual passes.
Known as “Magic Key” at the happiest place on earth, current Magic Key holders can renew their pass (up to 30 days before expiration) beginning August 18 at 9 a.m. PST — but there are no new sales.
And, in more news, the Dream Key is gone and there is a new key called “Inspire.” Plus, each pass has blockout dates. That’s right, not one of these passes gets 365 day access to the parks.

If you have an existing pass, your pass is good until it expires, including the Dream Key. When it’s time to renew, you can renew into one of the available passes.
Important: If you renew inside the 30-day window, you can upgrade or downgrade to another key. If you renew outside the 30 day window, there are no changes to the Magic Key tier unless passes become available for sale again. Then, you’ll be able to upgrade outside of the 30-day renewal window.
Below is a breakdown of each key. Let’s take a look.

Important now no new sales even if you’d like to purchase on for your own child that turned 3 this year. My daughter turned 3 in February but I waited to get her a pass since there was no new regarding the program being available for renewal until this week. I also wanted our new passes to align since you know she is a toddler and when mine expires she has no other way of going to Disneyland. Anyhow, a cast member stated in writing I’d be able to purchase one for her after I renewed since she did in fact turn 3 this year so I renewed & now the supervisors refuse to allow me to purchase one stating there is a 60 day policy- meaning I can only purchase one for a child within 60 days from their 3rd birthday. Even though I was given inaccurate and misleading information to be placed in this predicament at no fault of my own, Disneyland refuses to allow me to purchase a pass for my 3 year old.

@Kathleen Matlock-Neal, I mean if she looks like a 2 year old I would keep bringing her in. Her loss.
