If you’ve been hoping Disney Springs would remain open longer on Fridays and Saturdays, your wish is now a reality.
According to the official Walt Disney World calendar, Disney Springs will now remain open one hour later on Friday and Saturdays beginning Oct. 9, 2020.
Instead of closing at the usual 10 p.m., the shopping and dining complex will stay open until 11 p.m. Hours for the remainder of the week, Sunday through Thursdays, will continue to be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Extending the hours for the beginning of the weekend makes sense. As we’ve seen, weekends have been much busier at both Disney Springs and at all four theme parks. An extension in hours, even if it’s only for one hour, may be helpful in managing crowds.
Like Disney Springs, the hours for Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios have fluctuated since they were first reduced on Sept. 8.
Lately, weekend park hours have seen an extension. For example, on Sept. 25, the WDW calendar was updated to show that hours were changing quite a bit for the parks over the weekend of Oct. 9, which is also a holiday weekend.
These new hours are:
- Animal Kingdom: Oct. 9-12 — 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Magic Kingdom: Oct. 9-12 — 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Epcot: Oct. 9-12 — 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Hollywood Studios: Oct. 9-12 — 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
We have a post detailing all of the latest park hour changes, so be sure to check that out.
As for Disney Springs, there is also a new weekday dining deal called “Weekdays at Disney Springs,” where customers can get 20 percent off on select menu items across 20 different dining locations. The deal is only available Monday through Thursday each week and will last through Oct. 29.
And, don’t forget, that there are still certain health and safety protocols to follow at both WDW and Disney Springs, including the requirement of face coverings.
