When Cars roared onto the big screen, kids (and adults!) everywhere fell in love with the fun, feisty, and fast characters.
And, while Disney’s California Adventure may be home to the ultimate experience with their Cars Land, you can find some fun Cars elements at Disney World, too (like the new Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy).
Do you have a Cars fan in your house? Here’s everywhere you can find them at Disney World.
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy
Cars fans headed to Disney World can rejoice as a brand new experience has brought some of that awesome Cars action to the east coast.
You can see by the video below that this new show is absolutely adorable!
You can check out this fun show daily (typically from park open to close).
What to expect
Lightning McQueen Racing Academy at Hollywood Studios utilizes a theater-like atmosphere to let guests get up close and personal to learn from the star himself, Lightning McQueen.
Using a giant 200-foot wrap-around screen, brand new animation, and even the voices from the original cast, Lightning McQueen joins his friends Tow Mater, Cruz Ramirez, plus other members of the gang from Radiator Springs to show off some skills (and, in true Disney fashion, share a message of teamwork) to the fans cheering him on.
This new experience is located just past where you enter Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, in Sunset Showcase:
DJ’s Ready! Set! Party Time!
In addition to the new Lightning McQueen Racing Academy, several times a day guests can dance, boogie, and play along with DJ “the ultimate party on wheels” at the new “DJ’s Ready! Set! Party Time!” During this event, guests will be invited to participate in dancing and cars-inspired games.
Cruz Ramirez
Cruz Ramirez is back! After a brief hiatus from greeting guests at Hollywood Studios, Cruz is returning with is very own meet and greet located next to all the other Cars fun.
Art of Animation – Cars section
Fans of the classic Pixar Cars films will fall in love with the Cars section of Art of Animation.
Disney Imagineers created a truly immersive resort experience that extends from the rooms all the way out into the courtyards surrounding the area.
You’ll find all sorts of fun things to see…all of which will look quite familiar to Cars fans.
The details here are amazing!
Check out this guy:
Hey there, Mater!
Check out this pool!
The rooms in the Cars section of Art of Animation are what Disney calls Family Suites.
This style of room sleeps up to 6 adults and includes 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette.
This cute table converts into a bed:
As does this couch (check out the details in that lamp!)
The kitchenette area is small but provides a decent sized fridge, microwave, sink, and additional storage space.
Everywhere you look – you’ll find fantastic Cars-themed details!
Bonus Cars fun – Flower and Garden topiaries
Because they are so cute, we thought we’d add in one last spot where you can find the Cars franchise represented at Disney World:
These cute topiaries over at Epcot.
On display during the Flower and Garden Festival, these topiaries bring 2 Cars favorites to “life.”

Are guests allowed to take a monorail to Art of Animation to see the additional cars? Or is it only allowed for the guests staying at that resort?

The new show itself is great for kids, kinda forgettable for adults. The nice thing is this area is kinda tucked away behind rock-n-roller coaster so the crowds are actually lower and its an easy show to get into with nice cold A/C, great during the summer! Because the crowds are not finding this new show, you can normally get it pretty quick.
