If you’re planning on eating and drinking at the 2023 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, you want to make sure you’re getting your money’s worth.
After trying every food and drink item at this year’s festival (for real — we really did!), we’ve narrowed down the best values at Epcot Flower and Garden 2023.
There are quite a few savory dishes, sweet treats, and drinks that are priced reasonably, taste delicious, and are decent-sized portions.
Festival items can certainly be overpriced, especially when you’re being served smaller plates. But, you can get your bang for your buck by focusing on the following menu offerings.
Review Disclaimer
When it comes to our reviews and ratings, we thought it would be helpful if you had a better understanding of our personal preferences (what we like and don’t like), along with if there are any dietary restrictions.
Here’s a breakdown of not only who is doing the reviews, but a little more information about what each of us likes and doesn’t like food and drink-wise.
Shannon (Founder)
- Likes: Almost everything
- Dislikes: Beers that taste “stinky,” anything too salty
- Dietary Restrictions: None
Heather (Editor)
- Likes: Strong flavors, anything made out of potatoes, white wines, all beers (especially stouts and wheat beers), doesn’t mind sweet (plain fruit is NOT a dessert. Ever.)
- Dislikes: Things that are too spicy, anything with a bone still in it, cocktails with too much whiskey or tequila (thanks to having too much fun in college), some red wines, most IPAs
- Dietary Restrictions: Shellfish allergy
Felicia (Content Manager)
- Likes: Mezcal, savory drinks, stouts/lagers/wheats/sour beers, vinegar, tart/sour items, chocolate, fresh vegetables and fruits, red meat
- Dislikes: Ciders, sweet drinks, anything milky or creamy, chili powder, cumin, weirded out by textures, mayonnaise, saucy/wet food, cream-filled pastries, artificial fruit flavors, cooked fruits, frozen items (drinks or ice cream)
- Dietary Restrictions: None
Allyson (Managing Writer)
- Likes: Cheesecake (the more sweets, the better), anything mint, hazy IPAs and wheat beers (big beer fan), tofu and most Impossible dishes, mushrooms
- Dislikes: Wine (only likes a few dry ones), cream ales and stouts/porters, super sweet cocktails, floral flavors (lavender, rose), anything almond-flavored, things that are too spicy, olives, meat and seafood (see below)
- Dietary Restrictions: Vegetarian (personal choice)
2023 Epcot Flower & Garden Best Values
BRUNCHCOT
WDW Prep School Favorite
You can find BRUNCHCHOT near Test Track. The booth serves brunch items and, overall, it’s pretty solid.
As for the Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites, this is a repeating menu item and for good reason.
You can’t go wrong with fried dough that is stuffed with cream cheese frosting. And just look how many you get for $4.75!
These make a great sweet snack and they are perfect for sharing (or eating all by yourself).
Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites
Fried cinnamon roll bites served with cream cheese frosting and candied bacon. Tip: You can ask for these without the candied bacon.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Crispy outside, soft inside. Warm, delicious. Bit messy though.
Heather: Is it messy? Yes. Is it tasty? Perhaps. Am I tipsy? A little. This tastes best FRESH. Otherwise, it gets extra greasy.
Felicia: Didn’t care for this. The cinnamon roll bites are filled with cream which is gross and weird and hard to eat. The bacon was a nice addition but overall not good. Weren’t served hot either.
Allyson: We ordered one without bacon (yes, you can ask) and these are just as good as last year. I love fried dough and cream cheese frosting. Yum! Great portion size and good for sharing.
Citrus Blossom
WDW Prep School Favorite
This year, you can find Citrus Blossom inside the Odyssey. Yes, this means you can grab a table out of the sun and stay cool thanks to the lovely air conditioning.
Warning: this pavilion does get busy, so seating fills very quickly. Plus, many tables have been removed due to the indoor stand selling Orange Bird merch.
But, if you’re looking for a filling snack, the Orange Sesame Tempura Shrimp is the dish to order!
You get several pieces of shrimp drizzled in an orange chile sauce for $7.00. If you ask us, that’s a steal.
Orange Sesame Tempura Shrimp
Sesame Tempura Shrimp served with an orange chile sauce. This is a new item for the 2023 festival.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Fantastic portion, light breading, orange chile sauce is a great flavor component to the shrimp.
Felicia: The tempura battering is cooked well and is super crunchy and fresh. My only complaint is there isn’t enough of the orange sauce.
Florida Fresh
WDW Prep School Favorite
As a new booth this year, Florida Fresh hit it out of the park in multiple ways. If you’d like to check it out, the kitchen is situated near Disney Trades and Jardin de Fiestas.
As for what you should ordered if you want the best value, it’s the Watermelon Salad. You get a lot for $4.75! This salad is refreshing and filling in all the right ways.
The outdoor kitchen also has a fantastic non-alcoholic beverage that costs only $4.75. The Cucumber Watermelon Slushy doesn’t taste artificial and hits the spot during those warmer temperatures.
There is also the Cucumber Watermelon Slushy with Gin, which is on the pricer side at $12.50, but super delicious.
Watermelon Salad
A crisp watermelon salad made with blueberries, pickled red onions, balsamic, and feta. This item is new for the 2023 Festival.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Like this combo of fresh flavors. This is the kinda thing I hope to find at F&G Festival.
Heather: I’m not a huge watermelon fan (don’t @ me) but this salad is very good! Wished it was cold, though.
Felicia: Loved this. Refreshing watermelon, delicious blueberries, the acid from the balsamic goes well with the fruit and the saltiness of the feta. Yum.
Allyson: Love love love this. So light and refreshing, with fantastic flavor. Great portion too.
Cucumber Watermelon Slushy
A slushy with hints of cucumber and watermelon. This slushy may also be purchased with gin. This is a new item for the 2023 Festival.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: This non-alcoholic version of the drink is much sweeter than the one with gin. Don’t like it much.
Heather: Both options (with and without alcohol) are very, very tasty. Refreshing – light watermelon flavor.
Felicia: Wow, loved both versions of this. Super fresh and strong watermelon flavor with just a slight hint of cucumber. So refreshing.
Allyson: A great kid option and non-alcoholic beverage. Doesn’t taste artificial, but fresh.
Northern Bloom
Located in Canada, Northern Bloom is usually a pretty popular booth and there is only one item we think you should definitely fork over money for.
It’s the Chocolate Maple Whisky Cake. This isn’t too rich, sweet, or heavy, but manages to have the perfect chocolate flavor. Plus, you get a good-size piece of cake for only $4.75!
Chocolate Maple Whisky Cake
A chocolate maple whisky cake. This is a new festival item for 2023.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: So good. Nice portion. Delicious chocolate. Maple flavor is slight.
Heather: Delicious-just heavy and very, very rich. Definitely good for sharing!
Felicia: Not much whiskey or maple flavor, but dense and rich chocolate cake with good flavor. Kid friendly.
Allyson: Wow. Absolutely delicious. Not too rich or heavy. Pretty much melts in your mouth. Would like it to have more of a maple flavor, but can’t wait to get this again.
Trowel & Trellis
WDW Prep School Favorite
Trowel & Trellis can be found near Port of Entry this year, close to Refreshment Port. This is the booth where you can find a 100% plant-based menu!
Overall, this entire booth has fantastic options. But, the Boneless Impossible Korean Short Rib remains yet again at the top of our list. And the value is amazing.
You get so much for only $6.75. This could easily fill you up for lunch or dinner.
While this next item might not be for everyone, those who love green tea and a lighter cocktail might. The Twinings of London Iced Green Tea with cranberry, lime, and Hanger 1 Makrut Lime Vodka is served in a Mason Jar.
For $11.50, you get a big glass and a Mason Jar! Who doesn’t love a souvenir cup?
Boneless Impossible Korean Short Rib
Boneless Impossible Korean short rib with cilantro-lime rice, danmuji slaw, and kimchee mayonnaise. This dish is also part of the Garden Graze, the food crawl where you can earn a prize.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Great mix of ingredients, colorful presentation, really fantastic flavors, Kimchee mayo a particular standout
Heather: Stuff like this would make it very easy to be vegetarian. Very tasty.
Felicia: Very good flavor and decent sized portion. Tasted like a Korean short rib, but the texture is more like meatloaf (which makes sense based on it being Impossible meat). Solid option.
Allyson: A decent size portion and makes a good meal. This continues to be one of my favorite dishes at the festival.
Twinings Iced Green Tea with Vodka
Twinings of London Iced Green Tea with cranberry, lime, and Hanger 1 Makrut Lime Vodka served in a Mason Jar.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Large portion in souvenir mason jar cup, very light and flavorful.
Heather: If you want a drink that is light and doesn’t make you feel like you are “drinking”, this is it. Not a cocktail; just a spiked tea.
Felicia: It’s fine. The flavor is muted since it’s a tea. The vodka isn’t overpowering. Overall, a very meh drink.
Allyson: It’s just an ok cocktail and tastes a little watered down. But good value and you get a souvenir cup if you want.
The Honey Bee-stro
WDW Prep School Favorite
The Honey Bee-stro is located near Trowel & Trellis and Refreshment Port and we highly recommend you take the time to visit.
Out of all the items, the Pollinator Flatbread is not only pretty, but it’s lovely in flavor for only $6.25. And look how much you get! Such a great menu offering.
You should also try the Honey-Peach Freeze, which is a non-alcoholic frozen smoothie flavored with honey and peach.
It’s worth the $4.75, especially if you’re a milkshake fan, because that’s what it resembles more than a smoothie.
Pollinator Flatbread
Pollinator Flatbread with honey-whipped mascarpone, honey caramelized onions, blueberry gastrique, prosciutto, honey-whipped goat cheese, arugula, honey vinaigrette, and bee pollen. This is a new festival item for 2023.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Gorgeous presentation with so many ingredients. Good portion. Great flavors.
Heather: Too many flavors. They tried to make fetch happened – and it didn’t.
Felicia: Fantastic mix of flavors. Great combination of sweet and savory. Flatbread base is cooked perfectly and a great base for the toppings. Huge portion.
Honey-Peach Freeze
A frozen smoothie with honey and peach.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: The peach flavor is delicious and the souvenir cup is adorable.
Heather: Very peachy. Would be good as a dessert – but it is over the top sweet.
Felicia: It only faintly tastes of peach, and the peach flavor that is there is artificial. It’s also very creamy and thick and so sweet.
Allyson: This is a good non-alcohol option. Almost tastes like a milkshake.
Magnolia Terrace
Located in the American Adventure pavilion, Magnolia Terrace is a hit and a miss. But there are a few items worth buying.
One in particular is the Muffuletta Panini for $6.00.
Not only was this delicious (and a new item for the 2023 festival), but the muffuletta panini comes with ham, salami, mortadella, provolone, and Swiss with olive salad.
It makes for a fantastic lunch option!
Muffuletta Panini
A muffuletta panini with ham, salami, mortadella, provolone, and Swiss with olive salad. This is a new festival item for 2023.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Nice portion, good flavors. Slightly salty.
Heather: So very good. Love the olives. Great flavor – nice portion size
Felicia: Huge portion, so much delicious melty cheese, salty olive salad complements that complements the sandwich well. The bread on the muffuletta is crispy and great.
Tangierine Café
WDW Prep School Favorite
You can never go wrong with Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina. When you find yourself strolling through Morocco, do yourself a favor and stop here.
The lamb and chicken kebabs aren’t new items, but we can’t help but rave about them every year. They are that good. And they’re priced at $6.25.
As for the new Hummus Trio at Tangierine Café, it’s beyond delicious. Look how much you get and for only $5.25. What a steal! This makes for the perfect sharing snack.
Hummus Trio
A hummus trio with traditional hummus, red beet and black garlic hummus, and an avocado-herb hummus served with Moroccan bread and crispy papadam. This is a new item for 2023. This dish is also part of the Garden Graze, the food crawl where you can earn a prize.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Great portion and options of pita and crisps. Liked the flavors.
Heather: Absolutely delicious. What a great combo of flavors and a huge portion. Fantastic for sharing.
Felicia: Great portion size, cool and refreshing and every hummus is unique and super flavorful. Love love love this.
Allyson: Absolutely gorgeous and tastes wonderful. Such a great snack and perfect for sharing. Can’t wait to get this again.
Lamb Kefta Grilled Kebab
Lamb kefta grilled kebab with carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aïoli.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Good flavors. Slightly spicy. Strange texture to the lamb.
Heather: They knock it out of the park here. Don’t sleep on these kebabs!
Felicia: This is also very good. Perfectly seasoned, rich flavor, and it’s tender. Chickpea and carrot salad adds a little sweetness and complements the kebab well.
Chermoula Chicken Grilled Kebab
Chermoula chicken grilled kebab with carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aïoli.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Incredibly tender chicken. Delicious flavors. Loved.
Heather: Yes it is “just” chicken but man is it good! Amazing flame kissed flavors of yumminess!
Felicia: Delicious chicken. It’s tender and delicious. The chickpea and carrot salad is both sweet and spiced and complements the chicken well. Nice portion.
La Isla Fresca
WDW Prep School Favorite
La Isla Fresca is a popular booth and for good reason. Stationed between Morocco and France, the outdoor kitchen features Caribbean-inspired cuisine.
There are several items worth your time, money, and taste buds.
These include:
- Braised Oxtail – $7.75
- Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer – $7.25
- Coconut Tres Leches – $4.75
- Tropical Breeze (non-alcoholic) – $4.50
You can basically get a whole meal at this booth for a decent price, which is rare at Epcot festivals. If you don’t want to hop from booth to booth, just go here and you’ll be happy.
Braised Oxtail
A braised oxtail served with pigeon pea rice.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Great portion and flavors. Would make a great light meal by itself.
Heather: So, so, so good. A little salty and spicy, but delicious flavor. The rice was cooked perfectly and is a great balance to the topping.
Felicia: Huge portion and a rich flavor that is tasty. The ox tail is very tender and the rice has a nice spice to it.
Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer
Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer with BEN’S ORIGINAL Long Grain White Rice, mango salsa, and coconut-lime sauce.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Nice portion, great presentation, delicious combo of flavors. Has a little kick!
Felicia: This is so good. Perfectly cooked rice with a nice flavor. The mango salsa is refreshing and the coconut lime sauce on the shrimp is super good. Big fan.
Coconut Tres Leches
Coconut Tres Leches is a vanilla cake soaked in oat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk with toasted coconut. This dish is also part of the Garden Graze, the food crawl where you can earn a prize.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Love the light coconut flavor. Manages to be soft without being soggy.
Heather: One of my favorite sweets from this festival! Loved it. Coconut without being fake and not too sweet.
Felicia: This was so good. The coconut is light, the whipped topping is light and perfectly sweet, not too much. The cake is moist and delicious but not soggy. So good and perfect on a hot day if you need (or want) a dessert.
Allyson: Give me all the coconut. Love this so much. So so good. And it’s plant-based!
Tropical Breeze
The Tropical Breeze is non-alcoholic and made with lemonade, grapefruit and simple syrup.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Refreshing but syrupy sweet.
Heather: I love grapefruit so this tastes delicious! So tart, though.
Felicia: Loved this. The grapefruit is a bit strong and bitter but I like the flavor. It’s not super sweet and it’s cold and refreshing.
Allyson: Super refreshing and great flavor. Couldn’t really tell the difference between this and the one with alcohol.
Fleur de Lys
WDW Prep School Favorite
The France booth will never be without a line and if you want to get your money’s worth, you should order the Daube de Boeuf à la Provençal, Compote de Tomate au Romarin Gnocchi à la Niçoise.
This is a provençal-style braised beef, rosemary tomato, and niçoise gnocchi.
For braised beef and being sold in an expensive pavilion, $7.55 is pretty much a steal. Plus, your taste buds and stomach will thank you.
This is a new festival item for 2023.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: What a fantastic savory option! Good portion, great flavors. Highly recommend.
Heather: This is a fancy Sunday pot roast and I AM LIVING FOR IT. So delicious. I am in love with this booth.
Felicia: Loved this. Rich flavor from the tender beef, the mashed potatoes are creamy with great flavor, and the roasted tomatoes are out of this world.
Refreshment Outpost
While Refreshment Outpost is available year-round, the Quick Service spot typically features festival-exclusive items, just like at this year’s Flower and Garden.
There are usually full-sized beers and ciders offered, including the Juice Jolt IPA from Southern Tier Brewing Company, a new item for the 2023 festival.
This was delicious. So much so, even non-IPA fans will probably like it. The beer isn’t super hoppy or overpowering by any means.
And you get a big beer for $11.25! That’s pretty affordable at Disney World.
But, if you don’t want to commit to a full-size glass of something you’re not sure you will like, know that most every other festival booth sells both 6 oz. and 12 oz. beers and/or ciders.
Juice Jolt IPA
A tropical flavored IPA from Southern Tier Brewing Co. in Lakewood, NY. This is a new item for the 2023 Festival.
Our Thoughts
Shannon: Big portion, light flavor, so refreshing for IPA lovers
Heather: Very sweet – but also a good IPA. Be warned: I am not an IPA fan…so if you are, you may not enjoy it.
Felicia: This doesn’t taste at all like an ipa. It is very fruity but still somehow light. I didn’t hate it. But I doubt people looking for an ipa will think it’s good.
Allyson: A very juicy IPA. You will either love it or hate it. It’s good and as an IPA fan I do like it.
