(Article last updated: November 13, 2017)

Toy Story Land is a brand new area of Hollywood Studios that is anticipated to be opening in the summer of 2018. Inspired by the amazingly immersive Cars Land at Disney California Adventure, this new land is the first of two major expansions happening at Hollywood Studios.

As the calendar ticks closer to the 2018 opening, we have compiled everything we know about this brand new land, along with all the latest news, videos, and announcements.

Here's what we know...

What we know so far

Toy Story Land opening date

Toy Story Land is slated to open sometime during the summer of 2018, but the exact month and date are not known.

Toy Story Land size

The new land will be roughly 11 acres and will be located behind the existing Toy Story Mania building.

Toy Story Land attractions

Slinky Dog Dash (new)

Slinky Dog Dash will be a family-friendly coaster (the intensity looks to be about like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad).

Disney describes it as:

Andy’s assembled his awesome coaster kit… and Slinky Dog is ready to take you for a wild ride on a crazy coaster—one that gives you a glimpse of all that Toy Story Land has to offer.

Come along as Slinky Dog bends and twists his coils around curves, hills, bridges and drops. Make no mistake, this is one wacky attraction… and fun for the entire family!

Alien Swirling Saucers (new)

If you've been to Disney California Adventure, the new Alien Swirling Saucers will be similar to Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.

The Aliens have powered up their flying saucers to take you on a dizzying ride through space! Hang on tight as your toy rocket ride takes off, all while space electronica provides an out-of-this-world beat.

And if you’re really lucky, you might just get “chosen” by the claw. Oooooo!

Toy Story Mania (new entrance)

Toy Story Mania will become a part of this section, with a new entrance that will open up to the newly created area.

D23 announcement

After much anticipation, guests at Disney's D23 finally got the official word that Toy Story Land would be coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
